Welcome Any Name and Miss I

Not much to report here, just feeling the little kicks getting stronger each day, which is nice :) Although I am sure they will get a bit more invasive as time goes on, haha!

My weight gain is just the same as yours Pomme, from the same BMI, but I lost a bit during the 1st trimester so it's probs a lot more. I also had 2 cakes today :o and really craving sweet stuff, so I'm not sure how it will go overall. I must confess I'm slightly freaked out by my body changing. It's so strange of have a round Buddha belly and it won't be long before my belly button is an outie

I'm getting some pelvic pain now, it's so weird, I feel like a pensioner moaning and groaning getting out of chairs! 31 going on 81...

Thanks, any name! It's great to be here, although still feels slightly surreal to be in the 12-24 weeks club! :p And many thanks to Lara for the kind welcome too. :)

Yep, I am finding that too! I had my scan on thursday, and then was given a due date. I didn't feel ready to hear that- I am still getting used to the idea that it might actually happen this time. Talking about a due date, especially on that's less than 27 weeks away, is just too scary!

Am very glad you're finding that too. I bet it is a lot to get your head round after last time, and it really is scary when you say that you're talking about a due date less than 27 weeks away!! I still feel in some ways that it doesn't quite feel real and that it's not happening? But then I get a bout of nausea when I least expect it and that soon brings me back to earth with a bump! :D

  • Welcome to the thread Miss I... If it's any reassurance, I still don't feel it's quite real, and had an "ooh we are having a baby" moment after our 20wk scan!

  • Hi, hope everyone is doing ok?

We had a lovely day yesterday.. A friends toddler birthday party, then went to see a live 1950s/60s band at our local pub. We love this music, we had a 1950s inspired wedding with a Rock&Roll band.

Normally if there was room we'd be jiving, but I didn't have the energy, so we stayed seated. But I was bopping along (to use the period slang!), I did wonder what baby would think of the movement and loud noise. And near the end I felt my first proper kick! :j up till then it had been flutters/strokes/goldfish-in-my-belly, but to versions of Jerry Lee Lewis's Great Balls Of Fire, and again to Del Shannon's Runaway, I was definitely jabbed, just to the left of my belly button! :j:j:j. So happy, and such a nice moment. Husband was so pleased, saying baby is a 3rd generation RocknRoller! :D :rotfl:

Aww very good Robots :-) So exciting! I'm just at the Baby Show ATM. We ended up buying a Bugaboo display model at a 20% discount but unfortunately I've got to sit here til 4:30 when it can be collected. How weird to travel home with the pram but no baby in it! It's hectic here they could do with nap pods, hehe. Not too many freebies - 2x bottles and samples but that's about it. Still well worth coming tho as got cheap tickets from fleabay. Hope everyone's having a nice Sunday xx

aw that sounds like a good deal! shame you've got to wait for it. I'm going to the Manchester baby show in a couple of weeks, doubt it will be as big as the London one though, I was hoping for lots of freebies!

how lovely robots to feel your first proper kick :D

iv had a busy weekend, yesterday was spent cleaning the entire house and starting to strip the walls in the baby's room. then today I went for a long(ish) walk in the country with my family in an attempt to get fit, it was horrible weather by the end of it though, windy and raining :( could do with a nap now!
