  • Hi Everyone.

Sorry not been about for a little while. Don't know if people remember me saying my nan had been diagnosed with cancer about 4 weeks ago, well she passed away last weeks so absolutely devastated. My mums in a state which just makes me so sad. Sorry to bring thread down.

    Anyway:

I'm glad Daisie you have a reason for the bleeding and easier said than done but try and relax as much as you can. Regarding work I think that's up to you really. Only you can tell how you feel.

I've been taken off the list but did plan to stay here until I was 25 weeks which will be Saturday if that's ok?

Credit crunch- we move house Friday so haven't bought too much yet. We are team yellow so clothes wise makes it a lot easier. But have got vests, sleep suits, hat, mittens etc 0-3 and think closer to the time may buy a girl and boy outfit to bring baby home in. I agree 0-3 does look big in comparison to newborn but all depends on weight.

I have bought 2 boxes of nappies size 1 and size 2 but let's face it they will only last about 10 days so going to get some more 1s.

monty we've all stood there wondering about sizes lol
so far I've bought one pack (aldi) size 1 and 2 packs (aldi & asda) size 2. I'm going to wait to see the size of the baby before I buy any more size 1 nappies, I can always send hubby out and we do have one pack in stock.
we've got a few bits of basic clothing but only a few, one set of 0-3 sleepsuits and one set 0-3 vests, and a set of 3-6's. Mum keeps going on about everyone buying lots of stuff when baby is born as gifts but I don't think I really know that many folk, and those I do know (rellies) are more likely to get frocks/ boys outfits rather than the basics, if you know what I mean.

work has been really dragging me down of late, bad news today and yesterday :( because I'm covering for someone to the end of april next year I'm in a job I'm unsure about and which is more senior to my usual job with little support, and yesterday was told it's likely I have to change the way it's done this year and redo all of last years figures, and today because of some political decisions made it looks even more like redundancy is on the cards between apr-jun next year which scares the heck of out of me because hubby's wages don't even cover the mortgage :( really don't need this on top of feeling knackered all the time.
also tried in my head to make my maternity leave/annual leave plans yesterday lunch time, and I know though i'll be allowed the week off annual leave the week before my due date, I'd also like the week off before that but because we have the auditors in it's unlikely that they will let me have it. obviously they have no choice if I'm not well etc, but if I am which I hope I will be they can easily say no because it's an annual leave request, and it's already getting me down. stupid I know.

Hugs Disney. Nothing much to say as it's so hard and so sudden, but thinking of you. Stay on this thread as long as you want of course.

Sorry to hear about your nan Disney.
I still have all 4 grandparents so as much as I don't know how your are feeling, I'm thinking of you. It can't be easy & I dread the day I'm in your shoes xx

Lemon that's bad news about work. I will get smp - no additional contributions from my employer. So 90% full pay for 6 weeks then something like £135 per week after that.
It's hard to think how we will cope because its tight with bills at the mo. I will try my mortgage company for payment break or switch to interest only, I will try the same with sainsburys for our loan. I only have one credit card so I've reduced my payment to the minimum which is £17 a month or something. I will also ring sky & threaten to leave & hope they reduce our package. As much as sky is a luxury, it also means oh can watch footie at home rather at than at the pub, plus we watch a lot of TV rather than going out at the weekends, so I feel like it pays for itself if you know what I mean?

That's why I am trying to stock up as much as poss on nappies etc now so I dont need to buy anymore for a few months once baby is here but it's a guessing game as baby could either be a bruiser or a tote :D

Yes, I'm yellow. Although technically I know the sex, but since I've not told even my family yet I'm keeping from y'all too. Sorry!

Disney I'm sorry for your loss xx

Has anyone else had the horrible thoughts go the actual birth yet!? I really don't want anyone looking down there and my friend soiled herself during labour, I would seriously die of embarrassment. Also does anyone care if you are neat and tidy down there? Because I'm going to be too big to keep it trim!

Sorry if tmi but it's freaking me out!
