Arrgh. Was just looking on the dreaded gumtree and someone is selling a dog and saying it has to be gone by 6 and I'm so worried about it and I want to go and get her, even though we don't have space for another dog, our current dog likes all the attention on him, and we're already paying out a fortune for our dog walker, without adding another one.

Rant alert. I'm so upset and disappointed right now. Just had a row with OH because I'm angry with the whole sorry situation.

Just got back from FS appt. basically they want me to do another 3 bloody months of clomid (12 in total) and only then will we get referred for IVF. It's bloody obvious after 9'cycles it's not working. So another 3 month delay and for what?

Sitting here crying. I really thought we'd get referred today. So it will be at least another 6 months before anything happens.

Oh littleme, that's so unfair Did they give you any particular reason for the decision?

Just lurking - are they doing any scans whilst you are on the clomid?

Im pretty sure it was Becca on the ttc board (sorry if it wasn't or Ive got this wrong) who was on clomid for a couple of months but it was only when they did the scans they found out it wasnt actually working properly and she needed an hcg shot to make the egg properly like pop out so to speak? I think? And then that worked! Could you suggest that?!

Little me what a bummer, did they have a reason why? Do they even know if your ov on the clomid. I know its kind if the same but spending months on tamoxafin when it wasn't working was soul destroying so sending you huge hugs.

littleme - big hugs. Long shot but have you tried throwing the NICE guidelines at them? Problem is that they are only guidelines, and each CCG then chooses which parts to go along with (in theory we should all get 3 funded IVF cycles, where does that happen??) Really hope you get something sorted, and fingers crossed that clomid does do the trick for you x.

I'm getting a cold and feeling v sorry for myself. Got an early start and a long day tomorrow (including at least 3 hrs in a colleague's car) so not great timing.

Thank you for your kind replies. Me and OH are still at each others throats and that just makes the whole thing worse.

I have to go for day 21 blood test as I have had no blood tests or scans since i started clomid in May 2013.

His view is that if its not worked by 12 cycles on clomid then it will be IVF/ICSI. He wants us to try and conceive naturally.

So that appt won't be until June then we will have to wait for the fertility clinic appointment which will take a number of weeks/months. So it will be at least september before the next step is taken.

I feel so completely fed up with everything.

Hi Tea, there's no point. That was his decision. He said my scans were "beautifully clear". He did say that we would get 3 funded cycles so I guess thats good news. But it still doesnt make everything happen sooner does it? Another 3 cycles of the witch showing without fail x

littleme, I totally get your frustrations. I swear sometimes I can literally hear this massive clock ticking above my head. I'm also with you on things not going great with OH. We had a rather heated discussion on Monday night - we were supposed to be sorting out the timing for this frozen sample but it ended up as a discussion about which one of us should move out (it's not going to be me!!) Things are ok-ish again now but I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the stress of this is just too much for us.
