Isla I'm so sorry, what bad timing
Hope OH finds a new job v soon.
FD, hugs.
AFM.. No change, I'm still looking at a pile of forms on the side in the kitchen. Hoping to finish them this week. Surprisingly hard to remember life chronology!!When people show you who they are, believe them the first time0 -
Isla really sorry to hear about your oh job, what awful timing. I hope he finds something soon.
One step trying to put everything together can be tricky.0 -
Oh isla what a p*sser! Really hope he finds something soon and that this cycle goes well for you x.
I have to call the hospital this morning to find out why they rang OH on friday to arrange for him to go and provide a frozen sample this week. We didn't do that last time, and it's not been mentioned to us before. If this is another administrative error I don't think I'll be able to persuade OH to go back there (and tbh I'd be able to see his point!) But there isn't anywhere else close enough so if we don't go with them it really is over for us.
I hope you all enjoyed the baby-free day yesterday. I know you all had a baby-free day as every single 4yr old and under was at church with me. They must have been shipping them in from all over the country. Can only assume it's some sort of national day.... March 1st St Davids Day, March 2nd Hound an Infertile with a Busload of Babies Day.0 -
fairy - so so sorry to hear your news. Thinking of you and sending huge hugs and good wishes your way. Take care of yourself and DH xxxx
gts - good luck with your cycle. xx
PM - big hugs to you and as everyone has said, feel free to moan whenever and however much you want - this is exactly the place for it. xx
code - that's incredibly carpy about your niece, sending hugs your way as well. xx
isla - what absolutely carpy timing! I hope he finds something soon and you cycle goes okay. Sods law everything always happens at the same time! xx
tea - hugs to you, I know it must have been a sh***y day yesterday for you but thank you for making me smile on a Monday morning. :A xx
littleme - when we had our referral for ICSI, the only tests they wanted us to do was a HIV/STI test for both me and DH plus a fresh Day 3 test for me (that was the middle of October).
We had our IVF consultation with the chief guy and nurse the middle of Dec, they did an ultrasound there and then - after that we were given tons of advice, good wishes and a bag of drugs and I started the drugs the middle of Jan. Not sure how similar or different that'll be to your local area. xx
AFM - 9dp5dt and half the time I feel quite positive and half the time I feel like counting down the days til we can start our second ICSI cycle. Had a tiny bit of what looked like old blood mixed in with the delightful Crinone deposits yesterday (apologies for tmi) - I am going to try and hold off testing til Saturday (my OTD) but I can't help feeling the sooner I'm put out of my misery, the better!
On the plus side, after 6 weeks in hospital in Bristol, DH's dad is being discharged today. :j His oesophagus is pretty much fully healed but he still has to watch his diet - but at least we won't be making 30 mile round trips to Bristol three times a week.
Hugs to everyone, whether they need them or not xxx0 -
Tea sorry to hear you had a difficult weekend, I really hope its not anther c*ck from them. Your post did make me smile though.
Fp got everything tightly crossed for you.0 -
Morning all.
I'm sorry I have been lurking for a little while, but I've seen so many people here get their bfps and I'm so so pleased for you all. I can see that there are also several people who are having a rubbish time and that just sucks. I am trying to post quickly at work, so please excuse the lack of personalised messages but I'm sending my virtual love to you all.
AFM, I've had my head well and truly buried in the sand for the last few weeks. I had a lap&dye scheduled for 27th Jan, which they cancelled at 5pm the day before, and I had got myself into a bit of a tizz waiting for the rescheduled appointment on the 27th of Feb (last week). I do get a bit anxious from time to time, and had got a bit worked up over the GA.
Anyway, I had the Lap&dye on Thursday last week. The GA was grand (as you all told me it would be) and I'm back at work today feeling pretty alright. Bit sore and a bit constipated (haha, tmi) but fine. I've got an appt with my FS on Tuesday next week to consider the next steps. I'm expecting (hoping for) a referral for IVF but not sure where or how or when it might happen. Scary stuff, although it will be nice to get out of this limbo phase.
If anyone gets the chance to update my info I'd be really grateful:
Floaty (34) DH 38. TTC#1 since 01/2009. Unexplained IF. Had all FS tests (day 3 bloods, ov+7d bloods, internal ultrasounds, HSG, several SAs and a Lap&Dye - all look normal). Next step: FS appointment 11th March, hopefully for IVF referral.
Thanks,
Floaty xxxx35, OH 39, unexplained IF (all tests normal), no joy w/ 3 cycles of Clomid, IVF1, Jan 2015 - BFN. Currently in 1st FET cycle using endo scratch and EmbryoGlue, BFP 4th July. MC 12th July0 -
Sorry to hear the news Fairy
And isla, what rotten news, the world is slowly starting to look less bleak on the jobs front in the UK so hopefully he'll find something quickThere should be some redundancy money to tide you over to?
Fingers tightly crossed for you FP.0 -
Fairy - huge hugs please take care of yourself.
Isla - that's a crappy timing with the redundancy I hope he finds a job soon
Hugs tea for the day at church.
All the best frozen and floaty.
Afm - had my first scan today after buserelin to set if I m ready to start stimming. My uterus lining is 5.5 mm instead of less than five
Was advised to continue buserelin for some more days and the nurse will call me later to confirm when can I start gonal F.
I m bring prescribed 300 units of gonal f due to low Amh what about others? How much gonal f u guys used or using ?Saving goal for BTL mortgage - 28600 / 60000 ( July 2021) , 37600/60000 (December 2021) , 39300 / 60000 (august 2022) , 41000/60000 ( January 2023)0 -
Spoke to the hospital. As expected, they want a frozen sample as the results are so poor, so that on the day they have two to choose from. Although what good that will do when they're two rubbish samples is beyond me.
It makes perfect sense but it's yet another thing that we should have been told about and weren't. I don't know what to say to OH about it. If I tell him that they should have told us before making the appt he'll kick off and not want to go, but I feel a bit sneaky about saying anything else. But he's got so little idea about what is going on (or interest in it tbh) that if I tell him it's all fine and sorted he won't question that.
The person I spoke to couldn't discuss the actual results over the phone but could tell me they were consistent - so all awful. OH's last SA was new year's eve and I'd really got it in my head that there would have been a vitamin-induced improvement. But no, nothing, still hardly any sperm and the ones that are there look dodgy and don't move right.
To say I'm feeling less than confident is an under-statement.
ETA: plus we haven't DTD for ages. So even if we do this evening, it means a sample on Wednesday morning will only have had 36 hours, not the 2-3 days recommended.0 -
Hi all,
Am so sorry FD
Isla red, hope things get better for you soon.
Good luck to those starting treatment.
AFM - got a pile of paperwork for the treatment to work through. Had a call from the clinic. They are skipping the norethisterone stage and want to go to stimms and mock transfer a couple of days before next Af. So bringing things 2 weeks earlier.0
