Choco well man conception vits are what we use,not sure if its helped as dh hasn't had a repeats sa.
I think its all the bleeding that making me feel awful, just hope I can get a blood test ok.0 -
Sewit - congratulations!!
x
When people show you who they are, believe them the first time0 -
Good vibes - I am so excited that we'll be cycle buddies!!!
This article might be of interest peeps x http://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2014/feb/21/robert-winston-ivf-questions-reproductive-health0 -
Big hugs fairy. That sinking feeling (and losing hope) after seeing blood is awful. I'm thinking of you and hoping that the cramps & spotting stop and you have a BFP. PM me if you want to chat/rant.
Code - how are you? Has your DH started talking to you? Did your FS/GP offer any counselling or support? The biscuit will only dare to be just a biscuit when it is with its true friend the potato. (Edward Monkton) :beer:0 -
chocoholic chick. Sorry to delurk- my OH had awful sa results. His specialist told him to do the following: No extreme exercise- oh loves doing weights (not a bodybuilder but likes to keep in shape), loose boxers, no extremes of heat- i.e. no laptop on his knee without a lap table/ hot baths or showers, and to take vit E, zinc and and vit C. He also took selenium, vit D and cod liver oil. He hasn't had a repeat SA but it seems to have worked as his results were the reason we were going for icsi (very low count, terrible morphology). Think it's easier to try and improve male count than women's problems as the results can be so variable- men have fresh sperm supply every 3 months whereas we have what we're given from birth.0

Fairy - hope you are doing ok? Are you going to test early or hold out until Sunday? Huge hugs to you. x
PM - a blood test would definitely be worth it. Who knows what knock on effect the drugs could have. hope you stop bleeding soon. x
Good Vibes/Tea - how great you will be cycle buddies. I loved having cycle buddies as it was good to know some people were going through the same thing at the same time. x
Tea - very interesting article and very true that the cost is what people are willing to pay and not what a treatment cycle actually costs. x
Choc - my DH was on Zita West's men vitamins. I think I got them off a website called NutriSun or something like that as they were cheaper than I found them else where.
Code - not heard from you in a wee while, how are you?
Star - hope AF turns up soon so you can get cracking.
Frozen - how are you coping with the 2ww? When is OTD? x
AFM - not sunk in yet at all. I called my clinic to see if I need to keep taking progesterone as I've heard that some clinics give you it until 12 weeks, but nothing has been mentioned about getting more.0 -
Sewit thanks, enjoy every min of it.0

Wonder_Woman - imaging your womb as nicely decorated? That's brilliant :rotfl: I think I would end up imagining my womb being better decorated than some of the rooms in our house!
SewIt - thank you so much for reminding me about what tea wrote a while ago. I scrolled back through the pages to re-read it and tea, it is still a truly beautiful statement so thank you so much to you too. Every time I've found myself thinking negatively over the last couple of days, I've been trying to keep in my mind that that's okay and other people will be positive for me.
bigmomma - yay for AF arriving!
loveactually - test date is a while yet unfortunately, mine's 8th March. How you getting on DR-ing?
chocoholic - please don't get too down about your DH's SA, as everyone has said, it can change a lot between each test.
I know it's difficult though - when we got the results from DH's first SA, they basically everything there was either dead or mutant (obvioulsy in much nicer medical terms) and that if that had been the IVF sample, they would have had to cancel the treatment.
But for comparison, his results were:
June 2012 - 1.2 million concentration (0% morphology and I think 5% motility)
April 2013 - 9 million concentration (7% morphology and 48% motility)
February 2014 (for our ICSI cycle) - 21 million concentration (we weren't told what morphology but it was 40% motility)
He started taking Wellman Conception vitamins after the first SA and has regularly been eating oranges, drinking orange juice and eating brazil nuts. DH also has a varicocele (which heats everything up) so he always wears loose undewear, gives his nuts a blast of cold water at the end of a shower and most nights sits on the sofa with a cold flannel on them.
SewIt/Fairy - 2WW is awful isn't it, I'm only 6dp5dt so I've still got another week to go til my OTD of 8th March. Had a few twinges and sharp pains, and quite sore boobs. DH also reckons they're bigger (although I think he's just hopeful...). Yesterday and today I've felt knackered as well - I was yawning at my desk about 11.30 this morning but I'm well aware that it could all just be the Crinone talking.
I'm keeping all my bits crossed for you fairy! xxx
Apologies for the essay - hugs to you all xxx0 -
congratulations sew it :-)
Fairy /Frozen - Keeping my fingers crossed for you.
I have my planning app on Tues so poss starting IVF late March. eeekkk!!0 -
