Big congrats tam and star!! excellent news.
Good news Laura, i remember reading you saying they were going to cut it.
I've just tried to book in for my hsg but cant get in this month unfortunatley so try again next cycle.0 -
Congrats Tam and star - really happy to hear your news Tam, fingers crossed all goes well for you..
I haven't been on in a while but congrats to those who have graduated the thread in the last few months.
We had our first IVF appt this week, and are set to start treatment end of June. Im really not sure who to tell about this as we both have big families but I dont want lots of attention and sympathy if this first cycle fails.
Had my AMH blood test and also an antral follicle count at the appt and got 15.6 AMH and 15 antral follicles counted - not sure how this fares but the consultant seemed happy with those numbers.
Going to try and relax and enjoy the next 6 weeks before the first cycle starts! We got rid of the kids. The cat was allergic.

Good luck Mogwai. Could you sneak in a relaxing weekend away before you start maybe?
Yep, I'm still hanging around here seeing how all you lovelies are going on (hope no-one minds) Think I am too scared to join the pregnancy thread, too many complacent people that seem to just magic them up without trying and worry about completely the wrong things, and I'm worried I might say what I think!
Just wanted to say thanks for all your lovely good wishes. Had an emergency cervix stitch put in on Tuesday (went for a check up on Monday and they only let me home to get a bag) so am now on full bedrest for at least three weeks...possibly for the rest of the pregnancy.
Think I will be spending a lot of time on the internet, bored after 1day (but I'm not moaning, will do anything I have to do!)0 -
Just dipping my toes in and introducing myself. I've been on the regular TTC thread for a year and the quick BFPs are getting harder to stomach!
DH and I have been trying for baby number 2 for 14 months. Our first will be 4 in Sept, and he was a happy accident so we never thought it would take us long.
I'm currently on CD29, AF due on Thurs. Pretty sure she's on her way as I have usual pre AF symptoms.
I've had all the usual initial tests and DH is booked in for SA in June. I'll be having a hysterosalpingogram (!) next cycle. Dreading it!Happiness can be found in even the darkest of places, if one only remembers to turn on the light - Albus Dumbledore

I have my internal X-ray (with the dye etc- sorry can't remember it's proper name) next week. I'm really nervous about it. Does it hurt? I think I'm due to ovulate a day or two later, will we be OK to dtd after?Happiness can be found in even the darkest of places, if one only remembers to turn on the light - Albus Dumbledore

Afternoon ladies
Millie - I didn't have to have that done so I'm not sure in all honesty but there's bound to be at least one of the lovely ladies on here who'll be able to give you more info
Tam - Hope you're doing well xx
Laura - wonderful to hear you got the funding :T
As for me I've been to have a 5 day FET today. Was a fair bit different to last time though, apparently it wasn't straight forward so they changed how they would do it (a needle in a needle?) and had me tilted kind of upside down (I was worried I was going to fall head first off the bed :rotfl: ) it was definitely over quicker, though I think I took the full bladder too far and literally thought I was going to wet myself, not nice when they're pushing down on your tummy with the ultrasound scanner!! I'm guessing my uterus must be tilted or not in a normal position? I know on previous scans they've also had trouble locating one of my ovaries, so maybe my inner workings are a bit all over the place
A bit uncomfortable now, few twinges and cramps so having a lazy afternoon.

Milliebob I have read some people find it painful but most don't. I would take some painkillers first as I'm really nervous about it too. I hope they just do a lap and dye for me as I need a lap anyway!
Best of luck choc! I've got everything crossed for you

Thanks Jane
I'm really trying not to symptom spot but since the day after ET I've been feeling incredibly nauseous, was sick several times Saturday, sick yesterday and have been sick again today. I know I didn't get this last time, and realistically know it can't be a symptom yet and will be down to all the hormones I'm taking, but I didn't get like this in my last cycle so can't help but think what if...New House... I had the dye exray and it was absolutely fine. I took an ibroprufen tablet when I was in the waiting room so that may have helped. I'm a bit of a wimp and told them that so they were extra lovely. Mine were all fine, which is great in a way, but if they had been blocked we would have been eligible for IVF so that could have been good too.
You are not meant to be pregnant when you have it done so we were extra careful about that as I didn't want it re-scheduled. Oh the irony!
I had an ultrasound on the same day and wished that I had done a bit more research before the ultrasound. She said it was normal but I wished I had understood a bit more about follicles and how many visible ones / big ones there should be ideally.
Sorry I'm new here and don't know what all the acronyms are so I don't know what dtd means, but if it is do the deed, yes, I think so. They tell you to bring a pad in case you bleed afterwards, which I didn't. It should be done before day 10 of your cycle.
