Cats my GP did TFT (cos I already have uat) & progesterone bloods, & my Chlamydia test was a urine sample. She did also recommend checking for rubella immunity, as apparently FC like that checked before they start investigations/treatment, but the nurse couldn't do that while I was getting the others done (???) Only other thing we have to arrange is for hubby's SA.

Millie 14 week wait for SA??? Seriously, that's nuts.

Chlamydia sample came back clear, & progesterone is apparently in "normal" range (20.6) - I presume this means that I oved ??

Angel, welcome to this lovely supportive thread - I hope your stay here is short. It's so hard not to get your hopes up every month. I was gutted in March when AF arrived to mark the 1 year point, not helped my a friend that I don't get on with texting me a pregnancy announcement on the same day :(

cats sorry you had to go through that, although I can understand why you can see a positive side. I would love to see a positive test one day...
The tests you're offered might vary slightly in different areas but I had day 3 and day 21 bloods at the Drs. I think they also checked thyroid etc at the same time. DH just had his SA. Now we have had the first appointment at the fertility clinic I'm booked in for an ultrasound, then will need more bloods (AMH etc - they gave me a list but can't remember them all now) and an hsg. We were referred slightly early because of my endometriosis but now we're in the system I think we are on the same line of tests and treatment as everyone else. I know I found it so frustrating in the limbo between first seeing the Dr and getting to see a specialist because you want to know what will happen next but our Drs were clueless. I feel a bit happier now that I know what is coming next.

ktsheffa that's so expensive! I don't know anything about funding for same sex couples but I know we can have 4 cycles of IUI funded if no success after our hsg. To start a new thread, go to the board you want to post in and click the pink 'new thread' button at the top left of the screen. You might get some more helpful advice that way.

Milliebob good luck this month :)

As for me - nervously awaiting my US scan on Monday. Hopefully it won't be as painful as last time but I'm going to take painkillers first and take DH with me. No more sobbing on my own with the nurse - bloomin' endo :(

Hi all, just checking in with everyone. choc so sorry to hear your news :( take some time and dont think about ttc at all, there is life outside of ttc and we forget that too easily..

Hugs to ladies who have had their AF, I just started spotting today and it was the last try before we start IVF in a couple of days. Really gave it our all with supplements, yoga, acupuncture, diet, hot water bottles, everything, but it wasn't to be. Received the IVF meds today and seeing all those needles made me squirm a bit. I'm glad to be doing something different though than what we've been doing for the last 3 years - fingers crossed.

ljaney i had the HSG back in dec and it was fine, a couple of seconds of discomfort and then felt fine again. Fingers crossed it will be a piece of cake for you

Hello to any newbies, sorry you have found yourself here, wishing you all well!

Janey how did yesterday go? Hope you are recovering ok today xx

Milliebob- hope you are doing ok and that the next couple of weeks go well... we will be getting started Aug/Sept time all being well so soon after you!

Cats, so sorry about AF :( That's gutting. Hope the intro session went ok. Those are the only tests we had at first, but then when I saw consultant she scanned me, saw hardly any antral follicles and then I had AMH test to test reserve. Since then lap and dye/hysteroscopy, now FBC/ferritin/hep tests!

Everyone else, hope you are doing ok xxxx

    Hello all,
I'm a long lost returning member of this thread, although I'm not sure if anyone would remember me. This thread was a huge support to me over 4 or so years TTC and I got my miracle baby boy in 2014.
But we are trying again! No chance of natural BFP so did a FET last month and found out today it failed. ; (

Not sure where to go from here. I'm so lucky to have a baby, I know, but just so sad tonight. Why is it so hard.

Hi time2 - i remember you from the other ttc thread. We were both ttcing in 2012 i think..

We've been trying since 2013 when my boy was born and hoping for a natural BFP but nothing not even a faint BFP in all those months so am starting IVF for the first time tomorrow.

So sorry to hear about the FET, is this your first since ttc no 2?

Loads of the old timers are back and commenting - lovely to hear from you all. Really sorry about your news Choc and Time2deal - hope you're both looking after yourselves. Part Mouse - hope you're ok too, it's a long old journey, isn't it?
I'm in the 2ww after my second frozen transfer and it's so much worse than last time. It's on my mind all the time, I've got quite bad cramps, I can't feel optimistic about it and then I feel guilty. Argh!!
Good luck everyone going through tests etc at the moment. My advice is always take painkillers an hour before invasive treatments and practice relaxing your tummy muscles as this really helps.

    Hi all,

I'd say it was nice to see so many names I remember, but I guess its sad we're all still here. *hugs for all and still wishing you all the best* I'm not sure anyone will remember me either as I've been a very intermittent poster since my failed IVF some years back. I thought I'd pop by with my news...

We have been "selected" as the couple of choice to adopt a lovely little 8 month old baby girl! I feel both delighted and terrified at the same time.. The court order for the placement order is next week and if all goes our way then we will go to panel on the 28th of July, looking to start introductions on the 15th of August. Its all so fast! Have to face the music and tell my employer today, which as I only started a few months ago..
