Hi Janey,
Hope your scan and hsg go ok xxx also hope you have a better week ahead, that was rather a tough start to June for you! X:rotfl:0 -
Choc, I'm so very sorry to hear your news. I hope you can take the time you need to decide what's next. Huge hugs xxxSealed Pot Challenge #9550

(((choc))).... hope you're doing ok poppet xx
Take your time, you don't need to decide anything for a while. I felt very like you've described after my second cycle. If I knew it was going to work (even on the 10th go), I could have stuck it out, but going through it and not knowing if I was ever going to get further than a miscarriage was just too much.
Stepping away from it all was such a relief. I was genuinely surprised to realise that there was life outside of hospital appointments, cycle days and the like... it's easy to get so focused on TTC that everything else just sort of disappears. Hope you and your OH are able to spend some time together just taking it easy x.
ljaneyr - sorry you're having such a rough time. Hope the HSG goes ok. FWIW, when I had a hycosy it did flipping hurt but it was really quick. I'm not saying this to freak you out lol.... I just liked hearing all sorts of experiences to get me prepared. It did hurt, I gripped the poor nurse's hand so hand I think I hurt her! But.... the pain honestly lasted a couple of seconds max and it was absolutely fine as soon as they finished. I've also read lots of stories on here where people have been absolutely fine and it hasn't hurt at all. All the best with it x.0 -
Hi ladies, do you mind if I join you? I've been on the ttc thread for a year & still no sign of that elusive bfp. I'm 34 ttc#1, so really feeling the biological clock ticking. I had my day 21 bloods & chlamydia screening last week, hopefully get results tomorrow. I've got underactive thyroid, so had that checked too, but it'a actually a bit in the high side so having to adjust my meds & retest in about 3 months. Hubby has to arrange sa as well. At this stage, I'm not sure if there's anything else I could/should be doing.
AF showed up yesterday, & tbh I was pretty gutted. I'd gotten my hopes up (even though I should know better) as we'd been on hols over my fertile period & done loads bding, I'd none of my usual pms in the run up to AF, & cm in the tww was completely different form my usual. So feeling rather sorry for myself right now ...0 -
Hi Angel,
So sorry you find yourself here - you are of course very welcome!!!
Sounds like you are doing all the right thing tests wise... sorry to hear about AFno matter how many times it arrives, it always hurts.
Hopefully you will get some answers soon and we are here for hand holding in the meantime xxxx:rotfl:0 -
Hey again everyone. I introduced myself briefly a while ago but am now back fully. I know angel11 and Millebob from the TTC thread - I'm on 14 months TTC now and had no BFPs until this month - but unfortunately was a chemical and AF arrived after I'd been "pregnant" all of 5 days
Feeling strangely positive though - I know we actually can get pregnant now, it's just seemingly really hard!! I've had all my bloods and chlamydia swab come back fine, DH is in for SA this coming Tuesday and then we'll have a proper chat with docs after that.
We're also going to an intro evening at our local fertility centre next week. Fun times ahead...!Officially Mrs B as of March 2013

Hi
Firstly I am trying to create my own Thread, but seem to only be able to reply to threads - any thoughts on how to do this please so that I can get direct answers?
However, my partner and I are same sex couple and have done three lots of IUI, now found ourselves in nearly £3,000 debt on a credit card. It seems that the USA offer grants for this sort of treatment, does anyone know how we can afford any more treatments? The NHS say that we have to do 12 treatments before we are entitled to support from them, which is just asking people to get in thousands of pounds of debt!
What have others done please?0 -
Cats good to hear from you ... and sounding so positive too!0

Hello angel and cats. Sorry to see you finding yourselves here.
Cats I don't think I could cope with that, being pregnant for 5 days and then getting AF. That is cruel cruel cruel of your body. I think it would send me on a downhill spiral, I'm already starting to think I might be gettin depressed.
DH finally after a 14 week wait has his SA on Weds, and I have an ultrasound on Friday. Weirdly looking forward to both, then all our tests are done and we can speak to the consultant about our results. AF is due for me this weekend, and I feel hopeful (as I always do) because we have literally done everything we can this month - SMEP, cough syrup, conceive +, having my HSG.Happiness can be found in even the darkest of places, if one only remembers to turn on the light - Albus Dumbledore

Oh don't get me wrong if we hadn't been jetting off on holiday so I could drown in wine I'm not sure I would have coped!!
Question to all - how did your doc decide which tests to give you? We've only been offered my bloods, swab and DH sperm analysis...starting to feel I should have pushed for more?!Officially Mrs B as of March 2013
