Oh Tam, I am so sorry to hear your sad news, I know nothing anyone can say can make this time easier for you, but I will send you my thoughts and a virtual hug xxxx Hope things went ok with your boss today x

Becca, sorry you find yourself here, I don't have any experience with icsi or IVF (yet) but there are unfortunately lots of people here who do, tho it has been a bit quiet on here recently x

Hope everyone else is doing ok, nothing to report from me, just thoroughly enjoying eating and drinking all the wrong things for once!
  • Tam, I am sorry this has happened to you both. No words and thinking of you. *hugs*

Hi Becca, I remember you. You will have a loads of bloods test, scans and swabs at first. I have had 2 failed ICSI cycles since I lost saw you.
Currently in the middle of my third after lots of scares and set backs that came to nothing.
Failed cycles so far putdown to bad luck and my weight.
So lets see if a 12kg weight loss since last the start of this year helps (thank you slimming word)

good vibes - that's an amazing loss - well done!! My mum's used Slimming World this year and also lost about two stone. I do calorie counting and can't understand Slimming World's diet at all - unlimited pasta and potatoes? That's some crazy sorcery that still makes you lose weight!

tam - I hope the meeting wasn't too bad today. :( Is this your first time back at work?

I had four friends announce pregnancies in the space of a few months earlier this year and the first baby has just been born, to much fanfare on Facebook. I really need to hide updates from these people in my feed for six months or I'm going to go crazy. :(
  • I know pink, it's a easy diet. It's easy to keep at it. Thank you, have gone down 3 dress sizes now.
Now very bloated today, EC 8eggs.

*hugs* pink. Had a work announce her 2 pregnancy to me yesterday."ohh the sickness, you don't want that". She know my troubles. Me:" just embrace it, you don't know how lucky you are". Hormones bring out the !!!!! in me oops
  • Thanks Pink. It was actually Benjamins funeral today, I can't even comprehend going back to work yet. Fortunatly my bosses are being really good, but OH's are getting fidgety and his sick note runs out this week.

With regards to the dieting, if anyone goes back a fair few pages then they will see my conviction that my 3stone weigh loss was down to weighing out everything we ate and jaffa cakes (although we have stuffed out on chocolate digestives this afternoon, but I think we deserved them...)

Oh, Tam, I can't even imagine what you went through yesterday. (((hugs))) I suspect my OH would be the same and would want to get back to work - he has to keep busy with other things when times are bad, but I just can't do it - can't focus on thinking about anything else. Everyone reacts differently. :(

I've lost 20lbs this year (I can't do kg!!) with calorie-counting and, like you Tam, do it through weighing everything. I log it using MyFitnessPal. While all approaches ultimately have the same effect - making you eat less calories - they're all very different in how they get there, so glad to hear people have found the ones that work for them.

I lost three stone before my wedding and then pretty much kept it off, but piled on weight during and after IVF last year. Come January I just wasn't happy so hit the diet and started exercising again. Exercise is a wonderful natural anti-depressant. I had to force myself to get out and do it to start with but now I feel really antsy if I miss a couple of sessions.
  • Here we go again. PUPO with high grade 2 embies 1dpt 3dt.. Still have 4 embies going strong taking to day 5 to see if they can freeze.
OTD 13/11/15 and am going to stick to it this time. Only 1 pee stick in the house from the clinic.

.Didn't think we would even get to this stage after the scan back in Aug. After further tests all was fine to go ahead. Small fibroid seen in wall, not outside as they first thought.
  • Am keeping everything crossed for you good vibes xx

Been thinking of you tam xz
    :rotfl:
  • That's great news Good Vibes, everything crossed for you x
  • Hi ladies, hope your well.
I made it to OTD yesterday at last. I got my BFP!!!
Not sunk in yet and fully aware it's early days yet.
Thank you for all your support and will continue to stalk you all
