    Hi Ljaneyr,
The 1-5 day bloods usually test for FSH and LH. Mine also included chlamydia antibodies (which shocked me as I haven't had an STD but apparently this is standard) and rubella.

They definitely need to be done day 1-5.
    Good luck!

Thanks ellesbelles :) It's all so confusing! I'm feeling very fed up of it already.

Hi ljaneyr - when I had those initial tests it was CD3 and CD21. Mine gave me a blood test form to take to the hospital and they'd written CD3 on it - maybe I was lucky in having a helpful GP!

    Hi all,

I hope you don't mind me joining you. Me (36) and my husband (40) have been trying for a baby now for 2 years with no success. We have had several tests and we have been told that IVF will be our only option to have a baby at this stage. It was quite a shock as we have had no other talks with our doctors and when we went to the Infertility Ward last week to have a discussion about our test results we were told that we will start the IVF process in February or March.
My OH will have to go to have his sperm frozen as his sperm count is very low and I will have to complete another blood test but other than that it seems that we are ready to go.

It's all very overwhelming and I am grateful for any tips that you lovely ladies can give. I am sure that once we are getting more familiar with the full process I will have loads more questions for you.

Ask away if there is anything you want to know. I am looking forward to getting to know you all during this process.

    Thanks Ellesbelles,

I am hoping it will be short too! Yes it's all going very quickly. It's funny how we have been waiting to fall pregnant for 2 years and now that it's all moving in the right direction, I am freaking out :)

I hope all is ok with you xx

Hi Tine. I had a round of IVF last year - I hadn't been through it before so I know how you feel. If you have any questions about the process, just shout. :)

Welcome tine - Fingers crossed your stay is short now you have started your IVF treatment!

We just had our first appointment with the AGRC today - oh had his semen analysis which I was dreading coming back with bad results, luckily it was fine and all within normal range. Nothing much else happened apart from explaining the IVF procedure at AGRC which I knew about anyway from obsessively reading the fertility friends forum.

I have 2 months worth of clomid now to try before starting the monitoring cycle in Feb so let's see what happens. Just happy to get the ball rolling with treatment finally!
We got rid of the kids. The cat was allergic. ;)

Well af has finally arrived, putting that cycle at 89 days!! That's the longest one I've had in ages, so I'm hoping it's a one off. At least now it has arrived I can book a blood test, mine is between 3 and 8 days. Oh also has his gp appointment next week so hopefully he will get an appointment fairly soon, although I won't hold my breath!! Hopefully though come the new year things will start moving along for us in terms of a referral and hopefully something like clomid to help me ov!!

Thanks for all the lovely welcome messages.
I went back to the Infertility Clinic today for a scan of my ovaries. Not the most pleasant experience but hey, the things we do!! :)
Apparently all is normal but I could have a few more eggs. My OH is booked in to get his sperm frozen next week and I am now waiting for my AF to arrive to get the last blood test booked.

I hope you are all well. I am out tonight for our first Xmas Party which should be fun.

ThinkPink, I hope you get booked in for your test ok.

Assume it was DildoCam? (as it's called around here!!) First time? Not sure if this reassuring or not, but by the end of IVF you won't bat an eyelid at it. :D
