Oh Fairy Dust, I so feel your pain.
We have had 10 IVF/ICSI/FET treatments and still no baby, we apparently do have immune issues and I also have an autoimmune disorder but still nothing that should prevent it ever working yet here we still are.
Keeping everything crossed for you x2 angels in heaven :A0 -
Fairy, we've only been trying four years and had one IVF but, like you, I find "unexplained" really hard to swallow. I prefer to think of it as "unexplained by current medical science". One day, I have no doubt they'll have a longer list of medical conditions that cause infertility.
I still have everything crossed for OTD for you. You mentioned that the faint positive was after 10-15 mins, which is too long to be a reliable result my lovely. I don't think you had a change in result from the first test to the second, and I think it was too early on both occasions, so don't give up hope. xx0 -
I'm with PTP on this one - don't give up! The first result could even have been from the trigger shot (can't remember how many DPT you were?) I reckon it's just still too early for the positive to show. Have everything crossed for OTD, it's really not over yet! Take care xx0

I haven't been through anything like the 10 years of trying and 4 IVFs but I still don't understand the unexplained part.
It's only unexplained because they haven't tested it surely?!
Are certain centres more likely to test out all these additional things like antibodies? Especially if they are private ones?
I went to the Doctors last week. DH has to do a sample, unsurprisingly. I have got a blood test pencilled in for next week (I assume to check I ovulated this month). I need one on day 2-4 as well but neither of the Drs surgeries I can go to have anyone in on those days to take blood so I'll have to go to the hospital and wait there I think.
I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for OTD Fairy0 -
I'm keeping everything crossed for you Fairy xxx Don't give up, whatever happens. I'll be thinking of you today and tomorrow xxx
Don't know whether it's over for me or not at the mo, last night there was a bit of blood (and the cyclogest had turned a lovely shade of purple-ly brown) but this morning not really very much at all, only a couple of spots. Today is 8dp5dt, I imagine that's too late to pin any hope on that mythical implantation bleeding!?
ETA (on Sun morning): all day yesterday and today - nothing, no blood, no spotting, nothing at all. No idea what that was then Friday night/Saturday morn!
Fairy, I hope you're okay xxx0 -
Thanks lovely ladies for your support :grouphug:, tested yesterday & it was a bfn so I commiserated with some blue wkds. I was sad on Friday as I knew it would be negative but have emailed a clinic in the Czech Republic & they have emailed me back with a price list, what tests would be needing done, a questionnaire, etc. There is no waiting time for there so could start anytime but want to wait a while to give ourselves a break & to save up some cash as they said you would need to be there for around 14 days.
Frozen, hopefully the bleeding has stopped. Fingers (and everything else) crossed that it is the mythical implantation bleeding! Did you book testing day off in the end? Xx
Cyantist Only certain clinics do the immune tests as a lot of Drs don't think that there is such a thing exists when there obviously is for some people. My clinic doesn't think it exists, even though it says that it's been at the forefront of fertility treatment for over 20 years
I do agree that it's only unexplained as they haven't tested it but that's cos they don't know what to test for since everything else they have tested for has come back normal!! That's why I would think that testing for immunes would be worthwhile but seeing as they don't think it exists............
Lisa you have had 10?! Wow you are some lady to keep going after so many times! I suppose it's because you think that the next one will finally be it and that's why we don't want to stop. Did they treat you for any of the issues?
PTP you are probably right that there will be a longer list of medical conditions that cause infertility. There are more & more people suffering from it now
I hope I've not missed anyone out but thanks again for your support & hugs to those that need them xx52 Week Challenge £15/£13780 -

So so sorry to hear that Fairy, I had everything crossed that it was your time, I hope you're managing okay and take care of yourself and DH. The Czech clinic sounds interesting though - let us know how it all goes!
(also, I did book the day off for OTD - which is Friday but I've also been winding down my work this week thanks to the excellent advice from Pink) xxx0 -
