Cyclogest was more of a faff than the injections! TMI alert - even with liners it totally ruined quite a bit of my underwear. Even more TMI alert - I found the ahem, back entrance, less messy.
Good luck everyone - have everything crossed for you all xx.0 -
Thanks Tea
I only used the back way once & thought that I had inserted it, it was only when I stood up & it fell out that I had in fact just placed it between my cheeks
I remember one of the nurses telling me that a couple of foreign patients had actually taken them orally! Yuk!! The waxy feeling running down your oesophagus is enough to make me want to barf!!:eek:52 Week Challenge £15/£13780 -
Ewwww!!! Just the thought of that is turning my stomach!!
I remember thinking I was being clever by putting one in my pocket when I knew I wouldn't be at home at the right time. Didn't occur to me that it would melt :rotfl:. Was stood in my sister's bathroom trying to unwrap this waxy mess and wondering how on earth I was going to use any of it!0 -
Thanks tea and Fairy (and Fairy, hope you're okay) xxx
Swallowing that waxy-vegetable-fat-mess? I just can't even... I mean, !!!!!! were they thinking? Yuck, yuck, yuck! It's bad enough down below0 -
I know! It just doesn't bear thinking about swallowing those! Well after my faint positive yesterday it was negative today :mad: Wish I'd waited til Sunday now as this stress just isn't worth it! Don't test early Frozen or anyone else, it's just a mind f*ck not knowing!! Roll on Sunday so I know one way or another!
Hope everyone is doing fine though? Xx52 Week Challenge £15/£13780 -

Fairy sorry for the delay in response been a little preoccupied. Well I stopped taking the tablets on Sunday and started to worry that AF hasn't appeared and worried that as I'm still "sniffing" it hadn't done its job, but low and behold AF arrived this morning with avengeance so it deffo did work. Hope everything is going well for you :-)
As for starting Stims- I have no idea when I start, have a scan booked for Tuesday 12th to check womb lining and check on the cyst they found at last appt. I believe something was mentioned about starting injections on the 15th but I may have got that wrong.0 -
I've only been on the Norethisterone for my short protocols & I do remember the AF cramps felt quite bad on the first night so you might need a hot water bottle to bed with you to ease the pain or take some painkillers if needed. I always had to stop them on a Sunday & it was the Thursday that I started bleeding so I think that's normal & nothing to do with your sniffers
This time around I was on the long protocol and I started my stims the day after I finished the Buserelin. I was on the injections rather than the sniffers. My scan was the day before I started my stims so it could well be the 15th, they never checked my lining though it was just to see my ovaries.
I told OH that following yesterday's faint positive this morning was negative. He said it will be fine but if not we can always try again. My problem is that after over 10 years of trying & 4 IVFs surely there must be something wrong somewhere that it's not working! I really don't believe that there is nothing wrong with either of us no matter what the tests say! I brought up immune issues at the last follow up but was told that they don't believe there is such a thing that exists. I know that some places in the UK do as people have been diagnosed with clotting issues, nk cells, etc and then gone on to become pregnant. Sorry if this post sounds ranty:o xx

Thanks for the heads up will have pain killers and hot water bottle at the ready tonight, my cycles are normally pretty bad with cramps and pains so better make sure I am extra prepared this time around. Glad it was nothing to do with sniffer, I don't know why they didn't put me on something to bring on my cycle in the first place rather than wait until I was meant to start the injections and then decide to put me on them as AF hadn't arrived.
Hopefully I'll start the injections on the 15th then, as beginning to feel dishearten by the process being delayed all the time. ( was supposed to have egg collection this week on the original time line ) Hopefully all will be well at the scan on Monday and we can finally move forward even if we are a month behind schedule ( which is better than having to start all over again I guess )
Ahh sorry to hear it was negative this morning. But as he said you can always try again ( hopefully this won't be needed and you'll get your BFP
:-) xxxx0
