Thank you so much everyone. I did a digi this morning and it is slowly sinking in that this is real!
I will be shamelessly stalking you all and keeping my fingers crossed for all you lovely ladies. Lots of love.
(Pinkteapot I started going for acupuncture about 2 months ago. She also gave me quite a lot of nutrition advice etc. My goal was to get my body back on track after my surgery earlier this year. I was sceptical but open minded about the whole thing. I don't know if it worked or if it was just dumb luck but maybe something similar would help you in terms of feeling healthier after IVF and looking forward? Just a thought)0 -

Hi all
Hope you are all well?
As the NHS won't help us despite trying for 2 years now, we've taken the plunge and are booked to see a private fertility consultant at the Spire in Harpenden on Monday evening.
We've absolutely no idea what she'll tell us and what help is available to us but as the GP won't even refer us for bloods or hubby to have a SA, we have no choice.
I can see this journey becoming very expensive on top of the hundreds we've spent on OV sticks and CBFM stuff over the last 2 years - it's got us nowhere :O(
Wishing you all lots of love and luck
Gelly

Hello ladies (and any lurking gents)
Haven't really had much chance to read back over the last few days posts, but hugs and congrats (clevername and anyone I've missed) to anyone who needs them .
I have been awol for a few days as sadly we lost my grandpa last week, so my time has been taken up with phone calls and cup-of-tea making for my grandma. Funeral is booked for this week so hopefully might start to feel a bit more human again after that, this last week or so have been a bit of a blur:(
Because of this our ttc efforts have been pushed right out this month, as I said to OH its lucky I don't tend to ovulate so we don't feel we've missed 'our chance'. Good news though is that I have my clinic appt on the 12th November, going to have to come clean to the boss soon as they will be wondering why I suddenly need so many Dr's appointments!
Hope everyone is doing ok, will be back on board a bit more shortly xx0 -
That's one thing I am glad for, I am self employed so don't have to tell a boss why I am going off for a couple of hours. So no weird looks when I have yet another appointment. Although at the moment am planning on getting a part time job in January when I get out of my busy season work wise, to bring some extra income in, but as jobs are tight around here I'm not quite sure I will manage to get one. But OH says I should be able to get a job at his place, we've worked together before so he knows I am a hard worker. Just would be slightly weird as he would be my boss.
Not quite sure what the next stage is really for us. Well I do, but I don't know if the hospital will automatically contact us, or whether I need to talk to someone there to find out how we get to the next step.Remember never judge someone that makes a mistake, because in six months time it may be you that makes the next mistake.0
