I wasn't sure whether to announce it here as I haven't been on here that long, but I do read everyday, and when I have posted you ladies have been so supportive and helpful with the advice you have offered me, and also have helped keep me sane on this journey (especially code with her TRex pictures), but I am leaving this thread, as I actually got a bfp yesterday after 14 months of trying and my fs appointment being next week!! I am really nervous and terrified of what may happen and it doesn't feel real yet, but then I don't think it will for a while yet.

I really wish you all the best of luck with your journey (whichever route it may take you all). x

Oh GV, so sorry to hear that - had absolutely everything crossed for you. Big hugs x

Massive congrats to Thinkpink, that's brilliant news and not unheard of just before seeing the FS.

AFM, we saw GP on Fri and there is no help available to us for at least another 6 months or until we've had another miscarriage despite TTC for 2 years, our ages and 2 MC's this year :0(

We've had absolutely no tests for anything yet so I'm going to contact the Spire in Harpenden when they open again tomorrow to ask what we need to do to meet with one if their fertility specialists and get some tests done privately - we have no choice as I don't think I can bear another 6 months with endless disappointment when AF arrives.

    Big hugs to you all.

Hugs all round I think and a big steaming mug of hot chocolate.

I can see why they prescribe clomid, its a great stalling technique. Give some one clomid for 6 months, person thinks they are at least getting something from the NHS. NHS utilizes the time saved.
Its not really very useful though. Got to admit though if the prescribe it for 6 months that will give me another kick up the backside to lose the weight that has to go.

I have been trying hard to lose the weight and have lost 3-4 clothes sizes this year. But still another 8kg's to go to hit a BMI of 30.
Remember never judge someone that makes a mistake, because in six months time it may be you that makes the next mistake.

So sorry GV, sending virtual hugs your way, take care of yourself x

Gelly, sorry your GP isn't more help, such a mixed bag isn't it? Our GP was really sympathetic and helpful but then didn't put our referral through not once but twice. There are so many frustrations on this journey.

Huge congratulations ThinkPink, really happy to read your news :-)

So sorry GV - look after yourself - huge hug.

    ThinkPink - many congratulations!!

Vesper - good luck with the weight loss but you're right, the clomid is not advised if you know you're ovulating.

Gelly - sorry for all the waiting and delays but good luck with your plan.

    Take care everyone x
  • Hi ladies and ty,
Was still bleeding overnight and still this morning.
Did another test this morning and got a darker line. I know it's not OTD, but am bleeding anyway.
I guess this will turn into a chemical.
