I worked after a hycosy. I had a couple of painkillers just in case, and bear in mind there could be a bit of bleeding so be prepared for that.

I found it pretty bad during it, but it was literally just for seconds while the dye went through. A very nice nurse let me squueze her hand and as soon as they finished it was fine. I seem to remember feeling a teeny bit crampy in the afternoon but absolutely nothing awful.

I drove myself there and back, if that helps.
  • Congratulations live n learn. That's great news.
I hope anyone pupo or going through treatment is ok. I dont know much about it but am trying to learn.
No luck for me this month. We must have caught the right time but AF arrived, very heavy for once.
I also found a tiny, free sample nappy which I got from the bounty pack from the baby I lost which made me feel awful but I can't bring myself to throw it away.
On a (very) positive note my OH proposed! Hopefully i can also think about our wedding instead of (as well as) obsessing about TTC.
    Love to all. X

    LiveNLearn - congrats

Picklekin - hope all going ok with you

Clever - I had day off for my hycosy but it was ok and with painkillers it was mostly discomfort after and some bleeding.

Congratulations claretsgirl. That's fabulous news. Was it a romantic proposal?

I had a dream last night that I was pregnant. I was in hospital and I was trying to pump some breastmilk but it wouldn't come out so I took 2 pregnancy tests just in case the first test was wrong and they came out with 2 lines so quickly and I was thinking I'd go home and buy a whole bunch of tests including a digi because we'd been trying so long and it had finally happened. Then I woke up.

Claret - congrats on your engagement

Code - sending hugs your way x
  • Sorry about the dream code. I often have POAS dreams where I wake up to disappointment.
Thanks for the congrats. :-) It was very low key, which is as we like to be. We were in our favourite city and went on a lovely morning walk to a place with a fantastic view. It was a gorgeous day which made it all the more special. We will be getting married there too. X

It's ok. I think it's just because everyone around me is pregnant and expecting their babies either this month or next and it's just making me sad. One of them didn't even want another baby and she's having 2 and I can't even have one!! It's ridiculously hard. :(

Your proposal sounds lovely claretsgirl. Do you have a ring yet?

Congratulations claret, agree that the proposal sounds lovely :-)

:grouphug: Code wish I had more to offer than a dodgy hug. It is so horribly hard and unfair. My friend is due in Dec, she wasn't even with her partner when DH and I started trying. I have found myself avoiding her which makes me feel terrible but I just can't face it. You are allowed to feel sad xx

I actually made the effort to see her, but it was so hard. Plus, my family got upset because we never go there for Christmas dinner (they never ask - we're just supposed to say we want to go apparently), and one of my relatives who will be there will have a tiny baby (she's due November) and everyone is going to watch me carefully if I so much as look at the baby. :(

Anyway....never mind. Feeling sad isn't going to change anything.

  • That must be really difficult code. I have to also confess to occassionally avoiding certain people. It depends how strong I'm feeling.
In answer to your earlier question, yes I do have a ring. He proposed with it as he knew my size from my eternity ring two years previous. It's also my initial which makes it easy to remember :-) It's a square cut solitaire diamond on a white gold band. I love it and keep looking at it. X
