  • Hi Ladies,

I am hoping you can help.

My wife took her pregnancy test today and in the window were we are hoping to see a nice bright line is a line but very faint though visible so we don't know what to think?

We will do another test later but just wondering if a faint line really means anything?

My first bfp was very faint (likely in cases of testing early) - so well worth re-testing over the course of the next few days. V exciting and everything crossed for you and your wife that this is it! :j

ANY line means a BFP usually, on here we call the TLPs (tiny little positive). The line is based on the amount of HCG in the pee and this early there isn't much and it will grow as the time goes on. Different people produce different amounts of HSG. There can be rare cases where there is an issue with the test, so why don't you and your wife head on out to boots and treat yourself to a clear blue digi and try tomorrow morning (as it might be to dilute now!).

    Early congrats!
  • Will def do another test.

We are trying not to get excited just in case but so hope it's positive

    Will let you know

    Thanks for replying

Just to echo what pickle said, hold off testing until tomorrow morning as you may find you get a better result then (easier said than done I'm sure!) Keeping everything crossed for you!

Two little embies on board, one grade C and one stage 2. They didn't think any were good enough for freezing, at the time I was pretty disappointed but at least I got some transferred!
  • Hi everyone
I haven't posted in a while as I have had my OH home for 2 weeks :-) We both try and stay off the iPads to enable us to spend precious time together. I got a call from my doctor on Thursday after work to say that unfortunately we can't be referred to the fertility hospital just yet as new guidelines state that we have to have been trying for 2 years at least. It's a blow for us however we remain positive, hopefully one day in the future we may get our BFP.
I've had a quick scan through the last few pages, good luck to live n learn, that sounds very promising for you and your wife.
Pickelin - fingers and toes are crossed for you.
I hope everyone is well, and has had a cracking weekend. OH is currently 3/4 of the way through an 8 hour drive to Dorset for work. Sad to see him go, but we have had a great couple of weeks.
