Ack I'm sorry code. You might not have that, but if you don't have children there ARE good things to look forward to, you love your OH and finding that special person to spend a life with is a great blessing in my eyes, so many of my friends are still looking... Then there is the holidays in term-time, lie ins, being able to pursue hobbies etc. etc. I know this isn't what you want right NOW... but they are good things too. I know its easy for me to say these things as I still have hope, but I do try to see a life beyond TTC (I'm going to have a big house in the country and chickens and cats and be "eccentric" and also travel the world!).

I'm scared of chickens. Those things are evil. I can see them planning...

They do. I'd rather be on their side.
  • Hugs Codemonkey. It really sucks when there are babies everywhere. I'm so sick of wandering around baby shops, getting gifts for friends. It's really hard going.

Would it be terrible if your mum did speak to your brother? She doesn't have to go into graphic detail, just "Code and Mr Code can't have children naturally and they're upset about it so watch what you're saying". He would probably be mortified if he knew how upsetting his comments are. People just don't think.

I think with anyone else I wouldn't mind but I dont have a good relationship with that particular brother and he's not an especially nice person (he's a total richardhead) and I know he'll be pleased when he finds out especially as he has an entire brood of chavvy offspring who are producing more chavs left, right and centre and when he finds out he'll be all smug about it.

Had to go visit a school for a meeting today, its usually fine, but today they wanted to do a tour and all the little tiny tables and chairs and shoes etc made me want to cry :(

    Struggling a little today, girls.

AF was due yesterday or today. Cue obsessive and constant knicker-checking. This was our last month of TTC naturally before IVF. We've been trying for three years, but I still pinned my hopes on this as a last-ditch effort to avoid IVF.

I'm resisting the urge to POAS because I'm scared of the disappointment. :o

Just feels a little overwhelming at the moment. If AF arrives, I phone the clinic on CD1 and book in for treatment this cycle (which will start on CD21).

Very soon, I'm either going to find out I'm pregnant or that we're definitely having our first IVF cycle. Either option is scaring me! :o

And I'm one of those people who's rubbish at dealing with uncertainty.

Ho-hum. Absolutely nothing I can do but see what happens.....

Hey pink, if I were you I would POAS. Its always better to know. I will keep my fingers crossed for you.

I know what you mean though about the IVF being scarey, its all suddenly so real, I always hoped we'd never actually get this far, but got the balll rolling just in case and yet here I am 1 and a bit months away.

Thanks pickle. I'm going to POAS first thing tomorrow if no AF, as I know the results are strongest first thing. I'm a big water drinker so by lunchtime that's all I'm peeing. :rotfl:

I know what you mean about it becoming real. And the process as a whole feels so overwhelming. Just trying to focus on one step at a time. Think that's all we can do!

Will this be your first cycle of IVF too?

Had to Google this morning as I realised I didn't ask the consultant about exercise during treatment. Normally I do a lot of cycling and running.

For once the internet was universal in its advice - clinics with online advice said no high impact exercise once stimming starts. Most advice says walking and gentle stretching only.

I'll have to give up the cycling and running from the start of stimming through to the end of the 2ww, so around a month? I'm not upset about losing my fitness level or anything - I can get that back. But my exercise is the only thing that truly relaxes me. Really going to miss it at a stressful time!
