off for my HSG in the morning and an internal ultra sound next week, I feel at least I am doing something constructive now! Any tips for the HSG tomorrow?
Hugs to everyone x0 -
Jammy, I had my HSG while I was under for my exploratory laparoscopy so I don't know how it is conscious but I've read that some people got their bfp after it as it clears out the cobwebs so to speak! Good luck tomorrow xx52 Week Challenge £15/£13780

Take a sanitary towel with you or they'll give you a house brick sized one. You'll be able to see xray photos of your tubes which is pretty cool. It will hurt when they put the tube in, it's like a bad period cramp, but it only hurts for a couple of seconds.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0

Might be an idea to take some pain killiers half an hr before hand.Defo a sani pad aswell the hosp ones are horrid.0

fairydust I love my acupuncturist and recommend for relaxation and a space to talk about tf where you can be open about your feelings.
jammy I second what code said. If you have a low pain threshold, take some pain killers beforehand. Good luck, don't worry!0 -
Jammy26 - I had a HSG today and it was nowhere near as bad as I expected. It's uncomfortable and a bit painful when the dye is injected, like a bad period cramp. Second what everyone says about taking your own sanitary towel as the one they gave me at the hospital was huge. Just try and keep yourself as relaxed as possible (easier said than done, I know!) and take deep breaths. Good luck!
HSG showed that my tube appears to be clear - phew! It did take 3 goes to get the dye through, but it did eventually flow. The radiologist said she'll need to take a closer look to double check, and it doesn't mean that adhesions aren't affecting things on the outside of the tube as the xray won't show it. So just waiting now for some further scans and a follow up with my consultant to get results and see what happens after all this. Feel a bit bloated and crampy tonight.Hold my hand harder

I reckon you could do fairly good home insulation with those towels they have in the hospital!
Glad your HSG wasn't to bad, its a very odd feeling isn't it? I was like "its hurting, but in a place I've never hurt before and this is weird!" and its good news that the tubes were clear, I think the amount of goes it takes is just getting the dye in, no reflection on tubes.
I know what you mean about junk food fairy, somehow, it just gets in there doesn't it?0 -
Fairy - great to hear from you! Hope you're doing okay xxx
Yup, I'm on the rollercoaster again - at our review appointment, the doc said we could start again whenever we felt ready so we started on my next CD21, which conviniently was the day after the appointmentxx
Isla - what an sh!tty thing to say to you! Honestly, some people have no tact, manners or respect! I'm completely with you, that's an absolutely inappropriate thing to say and you have every right to get annoyed xx
pink - we have the Vitabiotics Pregnacare ones for me and the Vitabiotics Wellman Conception ones for DH. I've been on mine since Dec 2011 and DH has been taking his since June 2012 - during which his SA has gone from 1.2 mil to 9 mil to 21 milxx
Ruth26 - hope your HSG went well and Jammy26 - hope your HSG goes well todayxx
GTS - yay! 15 follies sounds good - hope the phone call today brings good news :j xx
AFM - Scan went well, there's a couple of follies at 20 and 21mm, three or so at 17/18/19mm with several more at 14/15mm. They reckon there's 4-6 follies on one side and 8-9 on the other.
EC has been put back to Thursday to let the smaller follies catch up - trigger shot tonight at 10pm and then I'm booked in for 10am Thursday! They also said my lining was good with a triple layer!? Not heard of this before but apparently it's a good thing to have
Hugs to everyone - picklekin, PM, isla, WW, tea, code, cwtw - apologies if I've missed anyone xxx0 -

*quick delurk*
I used Zita West vits for me and DH as my acupuncturist said that there were the best and she had seen more people get well on them. Be warned though it does make your pee bright yellow. I got mine from nutrisun.co.uk which were the cheapest I could find.
So nice to see you Fairy, hope you are doing ok. Great idea to do the endo scratch and the acupuncture, however they do recommend that you do for at least 3 months before IVF to get the benefit, so might be worth starting earlier if you can.
I have two unopened packs of the Zita West Wellman vits (or whatever they are called) free to anyone who would like to try them. PM me your address and I'll happy send them on.
*re lurking again - although like Chickpea I find it hard to stay off this thread. You ladies are all amazing and I've shared so much with you all its hard to let go.*0
