Hi everyone. So sorry for introducing myself ages ago and then not really posting again - very rude of me! I have been lurking and reading a bit though. Hope you don't mind me just jumping back in.

tealover and isla_red - was sorry to read your news. Isla, you definitely didn't overreact to your friend. Not sure why people find it acceptable to say the most insensitive things at the worst possible time.

Codemonkey - huge hugs to you. I recognise you and Part Mouse from the other TTC thread so hello again.

Hoping for the best outcome for everyone about to start or on treatment.

Things have been moving a bit over the last month. CD 2 and 21 bloods done and husband did his SA a few weeks ago. No news back about those yet. Have a HSG in the morning and I'm absolutely dreading it :( Been a right mardy mare today and have successfully avoided googling it..until tonight! Why did I do it?! I've only got one tube (left ovary and tube was removed a few years ago due to a borderline ovarian tumour) and was diagnosed with severe adhesions a few months ago after a failed laparoscopy. Convinced the tube is blocked/badly damaged and that's why we've been having trouble. Trying to stay positive until we know for sure though.

Hope I didn't put you off Ww.

Not at all :) its interesting to hear other opinions on it all. I'm def going to have a look for the book you mentioned - Conquering Infertility: Dr. Alice Domar's Mind/Body Guide to Enhancing Fertility and Coping with Infertility. Maybe I can find one for a penny too.

Pink I was taking pregnacare but found they made me feel odd so going to find out about the ZW ones when we visit.

Will read properly later as dashing off to work!

Oh, isla, I'm so sorry to hear your news, I had everything crossed for you. I think I'd have got up and walked off if my friend (one who knew anyway) said that to me! Take care of yourself, I completely understand you not wanting to rush into another cycle, people don't realise the emotional toll this can all take.

How are you getting on pink are you still bleeding or has it passed now? I know what you mean about not testing, I often cursed my strange (it seemed at the time) impulse to test, and think in a lot of ways I'd have been better off not knowing.

I've tried all sorts of supplements but have mostly given up now, I take my Tesco pregnancy vitamin when I remember and try to eat a healthy diet. I make DH eat the odd banana on his cereal and promote eating of nuts! I'm giving up alcohol in June (gulp!!) to see if that helps, if we are spending this much on IVF I want to give it every chance in the world to work, not sure how many goes we can afford.

Touch wood, crazy AF has finished, thanks. :D Now clear for 36 hours so I'm calling it as done (it went on-off in the end so I kept thinking it was gone and it came back!).

Am using ov-sticks for the first time this month as we're into the phase of the month where we'd normally DTD (with intent :rotfl:) but I'm not sure if the 12-day long AF will have messed me up.

Not sure I trust the ov-sticks. For three days I've had a faint test line (it says I've ov'ed when it's as dark as the control line) but I'm being completely paranoid that it's wrong and we're missing it! Was kn*ckered over the weekend (wedding on Saturday - late night) so didn't worry about trying as ov-stick said no.

Have other people found ov-sticks reliable? Do you ever ov when it says you aren't? (though I'm not sure how you'd know!)

I use internet cheapies so I think the pigment can vary, I take anything close to the same colour as a hopeful positive. I'm not bothering to test this month as I have no idea where we are. We have DTD every 2-3 since I stopped bleeding, in the hope the old adage is true about fertility boost after MC :)

I'm afraid OPKs can also detect pregnancy :/

    Hi Everyone

After a bit of a break on here I am back! I've not read back too far as I'd end up getting confused with everyone's stories :)

So sorry Tea, WW & Isla, it's really sh it when it fails. Big hugs to all xx

Frozen you are doing another cycle! Good luck with this one xx

I think it was PinkTeapot that asked? I used Zita West supplements for my last cycle and I got better quality embryos that time than I did the first time when I used Pregnacare. Other than the supplements I ate a low(ish) GI diet for 3 months before but nothing different so not sure if it was down to the supplements or not. It does work out expensive (I think for both of us it's £85 a month) but hey I'm prepared to try anything!!

AFM I'm having cycle 3 in August, could have gone for June but wanted to get my body back into shape before trying again. Dr suggested a endo scratch so having that in July, also have decided to try acupuncture so starting that at the start of June along with my supplements and eating a mainly organic, low gi diet but sometimes junk food just ends up in my mouth!! :)

Hugs to anyone I've missed xx
