I called CISAS this morning, having received the third knock back from Orange and the rep I spoke to said I could apply online to CISAS without a deadlock reference as they have categorically stated "This is the companies final position"

I had already fired off the reply to their third email, should I wait for another reply before before filling in the CISAS application?

ETA I'm wondering if CISAS recommendations are changing in view of the numbers of people ringing up?
  • I'm slightly behind RandomCurve's excellent emails, so my second email was all about GC9.6. They replied using the standard second email - denying my cancellation under USD 2002/22/EC and referred me to GC9.6. Clearly they are not even reading the emails!!

I've just called CISAS too, and have been told that as Orange have said this is their final position that can be considered a deadlock letter. I've sent a final email to Orange giving them until 14 days after my initial cancellation request before I start a formal complaint with CISAS.
  • I'll give them a short while to respond to my last email. It will give me time to consider what to claim for in compensation.

Obviously time spent considering will be included :)

I'm still waiting for their reply to my last email - sent last Saturday, so today is 5 working days.

CISAS complaint Monday morning it is then.

I sent all 3 emails and still awaiting a response for the 3rd,

Quick question, my contract is an additional line on my wife's current contract. Do i need to send emails for both accounts separately or will one email cover it for both. I noticed that I put down only one of the numbers in the first email.

  • The number is 020-7520-3827 (so free from your inclusive minutes) and it is option "0" to talk to someone.

You can also open a case online on their website.
  • Just had my second response from EE, same cut and paste as all of you have also received.

Ladies and gentlemen, its CISAS time. RandomCurve, any opportunity to consider the wording of the CISAS claim yet?

    Cheers

If you find my posts useful, "pay it forward" and help someone else out, that's how places like MSE can be so successful.
  • Finally got a response to my first email, was the forwarded reply that many have you have received. It does make me laugh when they say about the price rise, when it isn't even mentioned in the email we sent ! Lets see how long they take to respond to this one, Mr Swantee must be wanting to just delete all his inbox right now !

    Got this back

I am sorry you remain unhappy with my response.

As a company EE does not accept there has been any material detriment due to the recent proposed change in its terms and conditions. Under these circumstances any request from its customers to be released from contract without penalty will be declined. Any customer wishing to cancel their contract may do so by providing the relevant 30 days notice period required but they will be held liable for any early termination fee.

The company, EE, have fully complied with the General Conditions set out under Ofcom regulations and as the previous emails and this one sets out fully the final position EE has taken in the matter no further discussion will be entered into with regard to this matter.

Wehre do I go from here?
  • Also just spoken to cisas, likewise once you get the , "we will not go into any further discussion", they will get involved.
Suggest if you havent already spoken to them, you do, lets teach this company they cant bully us into accepting changes to the toc!
