RandomCurve, thank you very much. I have told a lot of people about your hard work and efforts, and they are very much appreciated. Can't thank you enough, keep going people.
I'm on Orange, post Oct 2012.

Wow that's super faster! Thanks for letting us know. At that rate I should get my decision tomorrow.0 -

I know it will all be small amounts form EEs bottom line but I would love to know how much this has cost EE so far.
Everso
If we have 60 people on the forum make applications then that = 60*£300 = £18,000
If 50 win and 80% get the full compensation than that is another £4,000
If the average contract value is £30 and average length of remaining contract is 12 months then there is another £18,000
So only about £40,000
On T-Mobile contracts last year we probably did 75% ofteh above so another £30,000
My insistance that Ofcom cancel the T-Mobile rise last year (they did act but only reduced from 3.3% to 3.2% - a corrupt action!!!) probably cost EE another (2 (?)million customers of £30 contracts .1% for 9 months) = £540,000
The new price rise campaign (assume not successful) cost EE 70 customers * £300 = £21,000
So I am hoping that I have helped to dent EE by £631,000 - all because they initially ask me for 50p a month extra!!!
And with the new campaign group set up :
http://www.fightmobileincreases.com
I'm hopping that figure will increase dramatically. If everybody went to CISAS even if they lost, the cost to EE would be greater than they will ever recover in price rises - a guaranteed way to stop them putting prices up!!!0 -

There are other costs for EE. Some easier to estimate than others. For example, legal fees, impact on future subscriber growth etc
The true cost will be higher.
However, EE will have budgeted for this and the second and subsequent years will show a much lower cost. In comparison to their turnover (£6.4bn in 2013) its not significant.
I still maintain that the only thing that will stop the policy of yearly increases is sufficient publicity for campaigns like Which and letting Ofcom know what we think.
Also, its rather disappointing that some people who successfully went to CISAS are now wishing to port their numbers from to EE. It gives the impression that people wanted to take advantage of the changes for personal gain rather than because they are wrong/unfair.0 -

But leaving the network with your PAC is the only course of action. We are refusing to accept the new terms and conditions. You can't go through steps to win the claim to then say actually I don't mind the new terms and I'll stay with you otherwise what's the point of starting the claim.0 -

I followed all the steps provided and won my case.
Adjudicator was M. Ogden
Won the full claim of £100 and all back dated costs till the 19 March including my PAC code.
I have accepted the decision and awaiting for EE to respond.
How long does this take and are there any further steps I need to follow to speed it along as they have till the 30/05 to respond.0 -

Not really! You can still take out a new contract with EE after you win the case; which is what some people have done/are doing. This is what Techhead has pointed out that the reason they went through all this trouble was for personal gain in getting free of the contract early and keeping their phone.
I personally believe that by refusing to sign up to contracts with networks that raise prices mid term is the best way to stop them raising prices in the future. We should stop giving them our future business as our way of protesting.0 -

See my post #16150 -
Interesting that Vodafone have now committed to no mid contract price rises.... such a better, more transparent way to go about things, rather than going the opposite way (like EE) and saying right, we'll just get around Ofcom's clarification by writing the mandatory rises into the contract from day 1.
