The wedding was lovely thank mum 2 one xx

I have been reading back on my old entries and realised I was quite aggressive towards my debt in the middle there:D I want that determination back to deal with more!

Im not going to make overpayments I'm going to keep sending money into my savings account I must be able to save. I'm 32 years old it's time to give it a go!

I've looked at a list I made in August last year and I have achieved pretty much everything on list! ive paid for the wedding in Spain, paid for my laser surgery and cleared my cc and been to New York all in 7 months of writing that I would need a lottery win to do it.

So my new challenge that I will achieve I will save the settlement figure on the car, me hubby and kids are going on a big family holiday in feb next year, I will have a decent emergency fund and I will have one months wage surplus in my account.

If I can achieve my first impossible list in 7 months then I'm giving myself until December 31st to do the following:

Pay off settlement figure for the car (total to be updated)
Pay my half of holiday £2,500
    Have emergency fund of £1,000
One months wage surplus in bank account £1,400

The holiday isn't booked yet but we are looking at £3,500 for a week away the joy of three teenage kids lol. Plus spending money, activities etc we are looking at £5,000 destination NYC.

I'm feeling very motivated, and can't wait to be paid this week to make a start. Back to my old motto "every penny counts".

I'm working the next four days in a row so will update again on Monday unless I'm lucky and get a lunch break :-)

Waiting for payday, tomorrow can't come quick enough, I did borrow £30 out of my xmas fund the other week that was put back in last night while I was checking account figures.

I have checked my settlement figure, this month stands at £14,675.

I have also painstakingly cancelled my gym membership, I'm not going enough and every month I say "I will go more this month" and it doesn't happen. My oldest dd has started running so will do this with her instead. One month notice required that was sent this morning. Saving £17.95 per month.

My cinema card is staying I use that a lot. I can't filter anything else out my monthly DDs I don't think. I will repost my SOA at some point. I think, I've got it to under £1,000 this includes standing orders of £150 going into various saving pots.

I've also noticed an error on my savings thread total I've calculated i had £550 on my savings for my car and I haven't that's my In Case of emergency figure.

Not much room for movement today I have earmarked an account for where I'm going to save for my one month wages surplus. I haven't decided in an order on how I'm going to achieve my list yet but I will do. I have £50 a month going into my emergency fund and settlement figure accounts I will leave these running. I might put all my focus on the emergency fund first it's not too far from my minimum of £1,000 target in there.

Have a lovely day everyone xx

Hiya I got a break woohoo! My wages aren't as bad as I thought it was going to be which is great.

£1400 is my take home pay this month. I will be able to complete my list from the other day.

Daughters shopping trip for holiday is paid for :D:D went over budget a little bit but she has everything now and she offered to give me the £40 I went over from her pocket money but I've told her it's fine. Just got to throw everything into the suitcase now.

Sister in laws birthday was today and it is all paid for and done within budget :D

The home insurance I will do when I get in from tonight's shift! It's been triple checked by me and hubby just need to click buy. Works out £15 cheaper than renewal quote :D

Signature updated to reflect new goals. My DDs don't go out until the 1st so seems a long way off until figures are changed.

So on the 1st may I will have £600 in my emergency fund account I need another £400 in there. That's my May aim to get the fund to £1,000, give my DD £100 for trip abroad and I've got a hen party weekend to pay for £140.

So my May aim is too come up with £640 to do all the above, exciting times let the fun begin.

    Hi all,

    I've had a break again!!

I'm glad to say hen party has now been moved locally so no longer need £140 for that. Youngest DD has added to my list a trip which requires a £50 deposit by end of May. So I'm keeping my May goals the same, get that emergency fund up to the £1,000 mark and give oldest DD the £100 spending money.

Will pay school trip deposit tomorrow.

Home insurance confirmation is through all paid and sorted for another year.
Will make daily pad when I get in from work before going to bed to do it all again.

    Hiya Shelbi,

Thanks for your encouragement I'm determined to make a difference in these 6months by doing these monthly targets.

I did make a daily PAD yesterday £6.03 account wind down. I do keep checking my balance to make sure I keep enough in there for outgoings.

Bad news about the gym I can't cancel yet :-( I'm in a 12 month minimum contract if I end the contract early I have to pay remaining months fees so Im going to have to suck it up and find time to go to the gym.

May start going after work for an hour as long as it's not a night where I'm back on the next night.

School trip deposit of £50 paid today :D

Will total up my emergency fund in a week. I Have got a dentist appt tomorrow not looking forward to that at all :-( only because it will mean more money going out and I will be tired because I'm at work (on a break..woohoo)

That's all peeps daily pads continue I'm off to Pinterest to get more motivation xx

I'm loving the new thread appearance xx
