Hi hon
Your totals are brilliant and you're doing so well. Glad you got your webuybooks payment. If you don't mind me asking how many books did you sell and what amount did you get? It's just I looked into them and the first few books I put in only came up with 12p!
Have a good evexx

Thanks for the support sassy and mum2one,
I had a total of 11 books. They were text books mainly brought within the last 3years, hope that helps.
I have got a couple more which I will get more for, from amazon just haven't sent them in yet.
I've spent the night sorting paperwork, feeling a bit lighter.
Got a PPI letter to chase up will do that over the weekend.
Mum2one, I've found the challenges give me a daily push, which is needed and it's great to see others reach their goals good luck with your challenges xx3rd LBM July 2014: Debt [STRIKE]£31,416.68[/STRIKE] Down To: [STRIKE] £23,403.43[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]15th July: £25,709.83[/STRIKE] 26th March: £31,229.68

Hi all,
I went to a wedding yesterday which was a little bit far and cost me a bit more than I hoped
Fuel £45
Money in card £20
Drinks £10
Eyebrows done and razors brought £10
Plus I was on a study day and brought lunch at £2.10
All in all it wasn't a cheap one. :-( I did resist the temptation of staying in a hotel though and my darling oh drove the 3 hrs there and back last night.
I've made a payment to CC today of £2.13.
My payments to my account since my last statement is now £1,038.50. (New statement hasn't come through yet) I have £1,230.00 left to clear to meet the 1 debt vs 100 days challenge and have 33 days to do it. Ideally I could do with clearing £530 from the balance before payday.
That's all from me folks have a great weekend I'm off to get everything done housework wise as I'm working the next four days in a row. My updates may all be short and sweet for a few days.3rd LBM July 2014: Debt [STRIKE]£31,416.68[/STRIKE] Down To: [STRIKE] £23,403.43[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]15th July: £25,709.83[/STRIKE] 26th March: £31,229.68

Sounds like you did really well with the wedding budget, and bless OH with the driving, and another payment to the credit card, ur really going great guns.
Hope work isnt too busy, you take care xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Thanks honey,
I've forgot to add my student loan hasn't been coming out of my wages so I chased that up last week again. I've heard of a few people getting fined, so I wanted to be sure I had done everything to ensure that it gets started.
Today it may seem a bit backwards but I opened an ISA I haven't got one and thought even if I have a small amount going in there its something. I have got a e savings account but it's the same bank as my current account and it's far to easy to transfer money to my current account. With my ISA with a separate bank I won't be tempted. Very small amounts will go in there at the moment. My focus remains:- Clear CC
- Overpay the car finance with the equivalent of one monthly payment each month (once CC is clear)
- Save for the dream goals

Hi all,
Work was busy today, I'm pooped!
No money spent, ATM swallowed debit card yesterday (it got stuck) so didn't make a CC payment.
I Re-read the YNAB 9 day emails and the 4 rules again tonight I may have a new plan brewing. Will update tomorrow after I sleep on it.

Hi girls,
My new plan involves a lot around how I'm going to survive without a credit card. I use my CC a lot to fill in my gaps or misjudgements in my budget.
There are a few bills that goes out monthly which you get cheaper when paid for yearly. Car insurance and home insurance both I've paid for yearly this year to get the pay yearly benefit. However I used my CC. (My car insurance I paid for cash, OH insurance and home insurance I used my CC)
Other yearly bills; the water bill and council tax I'm currently paying monthly which is only for 9 months of the year.
The other yearly bill is my registration at £100.
My total yearly bills £2500. I want to pay for my yearly bills yearly but budget for them monthly. So where to start???? (This is one of the ynab rules. Rule 2: Save for a rainy day) the rule is to promote 12 normal months instead of having harder months and easier months.
To begin with I'm going to be playing catch up. In April/May council tax will be approx £950 for the year and the water will be approx £450 and home insurance £180. So by April I will need to have saved £1,580.
Which at the moment will be £197.50 a month
Then by July I would need £900 for car insurance which will be £90 per month at the moment.
Then £10 per month for registration.
Once I've caught up once, then the year after that will be easier because I will be dividing the yearly bills by 12.
So the question is can I afford to put away an extra £297 a month???
The answer after all that calculation is NO..but I'm going to try.
£276 from council tax free months
£225 from water free months
That leaves me with £285 to find each month.
Anyone who reads my diary must be sick of my rollercoaster change in plans. I can't help it.....I know where I want to be: debt free and maintain it. A lot of my thoughts lately are ensuring if I cancel my credit card I won't be tempted to get another one because everything will be more organised this time round.
So the list:
I still intend on clearing my credit card first that hasn't changed.
I now have one month left on bursary repayment
I will prioritise saving for yearly bills before overpaying my car.
I will then make overpayments on my car
I will then save for the dream goals etc etc :rotfl:3rd LBM July 2014: Debt [STRIKE]£31,416.68[/STRIKE] Down To: [STRIKE] £23,403.43[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]15th July: £25,709.83[/STRIKE] 26th March: £31,229.68

Did some filing yesterday realised WFTC figures weren't right phoned to change them. Looks like the £20 a week I currently get will be stopping.
Paid £27 to CC today the total now is £1,200 to clear, just waiting for this months interest to be added on. New statement should be issued tomorrow.
I'm going to lunch today so will be a spend day but it's with girls to prepare for the big move at work. Then I'm working tonight, so will update diary again at some random hour.
