  • Hiya, sauceoclock I'm very sorry you've read through all that, you've had to read through my rollercoaster life. lol full of mind changes. I think I now have 5 or 6 readers eek 😜

Okay so I've been working none stop knackered.com blah blah....

Not everyone will agree with everything I've done this week is very MSE but hey its working for me.

    Let's start at the beginning:

So I've got back into reading the secret to change my mentality and my approach to achieving my goals then things just started to happen:

I got an email that offered a £400 saving on my laser treatment if I had it in a few weeks. Errrm no! so I haggled and got them to agree to charge me the special offer price in two months time. A small deposit of £100 later and I've booked my laser treatment :j I can overpay and clear with no penalties so I intend on paying it off before the end of the year. I'm very happy about this because it was my aim to achieve one of my dream goals before the end of the year :D Im still so excited about no more contacts and no more glasses after at least 20 odd years of wearing specs/ contacts.

Then a few girls at work were talking about the wedding abroad next year and found a great deal so I booked my flight  wait for it....NO CREDIT CARD USED, USED ONLY MONEY IN MY BANK :T:T:T

That's not all today I phoned my cc company and paid the outstanding balance. I reached my goal 1debt vs 100 days......my CC is at £0 :j:T:j

    Phew!!!!!

So you guys are uptodate. I have added a new goal to the signature for my surgery will label it "laser". It will be paid for by the end of the year. There is a few days left on the 1 debt vs a100 days before the new one starts but the laser debt will be my focus in that challenge. Couldn't have done without support on that thread and on the PAD thread and of course the input on here :j

I know Ive got to save for the car over payments but in the mean time I'm still making my normal monthly payments. I'm still hoping to save for the yearly bills too. It will all come together with a little budget and frugal living and a sprinkle of overtime :)

    Hope everyone is well xx

  • Thanks mum2one,

I'm doing another OT shift tomorrow just a short one, then I'm going back to doing only one OT shift a week from now on. To keep my sanity, all these shifts are turning me into a zombie.

I'm off to bed will catch up with everyone's diary on Monday on my day off.

    Night guys xx

  • Hey hon

I am SOOOOOO proud of you!! You've achieved so much paying off debt as well as getting another of your goals achieved that I bet you're bouncing around aren't you!? I would be :)

I was wary about what I was going to read when you wrote "Not everyone will agree with everything I've done this week is very MSE but hey its working for me" but I think you've been very MSE about everything. Haggling on your laser treatment is the best result so well done.

Have a fab week hon :) xx

  • Hiya everyone,

Booked hotel :j:j Good deal couldnt leave it £190 for the weekend. In the hotel, that's close to the wedding venue and its on the beach front. :j:beer::j paid for with ICE money but it will be replaced next Thursday with overtime pay.

:j:beer::j I'm going to be on a downer next week im sure when I've got nothing left to celebrate. :j

  • Hey hon

YAY!! How fabulous to have booked your hotel AND it to be on the beach front AND it to be out of YOUR money and not becoming another debt!!

Sorry for all the capitals, your enthusiasm is rubbing off on me!

If it only takes 2 hours to cross the first item of your new goals list you'll sail through the rest. If you have nothing new to celebrate next week just look at an image of your hotel - that will make you smile.

    Night hon :) xx
