  • Hey everyone I've been off doing mummy things that were neglected while I had my debt clearing vision goggles on.

I've been either working or catching up with things:

I've spent £200 on the children in my absence

£30 new trainers for youngest dd
    £4 for black pumps
£10 for boots got a trip coming up and going to Wales in half term boots were needed.
She also recently joined the girls football team and needed new football boots and socks and shin pads. £40
Also grew out of vests and needed replacements £3

Son needed thermals, new coat that had to be waterproof and with a hood and more long sleeves tops. £40

My in laws brought a new holiday home and the kids each have their own space there however Ive had to decorate it not with wallpaper but with accessories, bedding etc. £60 total spent so far..

My cupboards have been bare with no basics, not even ketchup or seasoning so I did a basic shop to replenish the basics and I shopped very frugally £110 spent which for the amount I got was amazing the shopping trolley was, brimming over with smart price goods. We didn't even have cleaning products, so that total includes cleaning items including a mop, toiletries and new cups and glassses again needed. Annoys me as hubby still refuses to do a proper shop just buys each meal as he goes along.

So that's my big list of spends. I think the Trixxibell household is replenished enough for me to continue with the next goal.

    Xmas Saver!
Sorry to hear about the extra spends but sounds like you have done brilliantly - know you got the football stuff now - might useful for the future I got all sports stuff for de from sports direct she's had to have football boots, shin guards, socks and mouth guard I even got her a winter coat, my bill was just over £100 that included coat, 2fleeces, 3prs shorts, jog bottoms, 2prs football boots, 2prs socks, it can be hit and miss but generally get most stuff. Xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx
  • Morning hon

Wow, that's great that you got all that for so little. I had to pop to Sainsbury's yesterday and even with bargain stuff I still managed to spend £23 and I only had 2 bags of shopping. Rubbish or what? And they've cut the value of their nectar points in half so I'm not even getting as much back as I used to. Still, must keep at it as getting Littley's Christmas pressie with them!

Top marks on minimum spends for shed loads of stuff though - top of the class! A*

Have a great day :) xx

  • Hiya,

    Thanks everyone:

Mum2one - I did go to sports direct for the football gear thank you.

Sassy don't forget you can nectar points from lots of places, so do a update check of where accepts it so too make the most of it. Especially BP garages etc.

Shelbi - thanks for the encouragement.

I'm very grateful for you three always stopping by even when I'm MIA for days thank you, thank you, thank you.

Exciting news and it's giving me a kick up the bum. When I first joined noddle this year my credit report was 1/5 then I reduced my credit limits and closed Littlewoods and it was 2/5. Checked today and now I've cleared CC its 3/5 !!!!!! I'm so pleased as I'm saving for a house deposit soon and I'm glad my credit score is moving in the right direction. I've got two defaults which come off next year July then it should be even better.

I've logged into car account this month my settlement figure is showing at a lesser figure of £16,167.48. Seems much more achieveable than the total owing in my signature.

Not getting paid as much for my overtime this week as I thought so I had better make the most of it. My pledge this week when I get paid for OT and monthly wages is to put £500 into the laser treatment pot.

Signature updated, I've joined a new 1 debt vs 100 days challenge so fingers crossed I can meet it way before the challenge is up. I have 31 days until the op. I will have to put £180 a week away to meet the challenge. Im going to give it my best shot.

  • I posted halfway through so I didn't lose my post as usual

I'm back at the gym :-) which is another reason why my postings have been reduced. I will look toned and stunning when Im on the beach next year. Plus I'm noticing my body isn't as flexible as it used to be the creaky knees need to stop.

That's it I'm off to check bank balances so I can update signature and I'm sure I can make a payment today.

  • Hey hon

I always forget you can collect & spend nectar points elsewhere, I'll go have a look tonight.

I envy you going back to the gym. I really must too but I can't because 1) I need the money for the trip and 2) I'm way too lazy! haha

Have a good evening :) xx

  • Hiya,

I've updated my signature my emergency account was a little less than I thought it was going to be when I checked my accounts yesterday.

I have made a few pads today. £10 to emergency account and £96 to laser fund.

I'm on annual leave next week, I've got four overtime shifts booked. So should be able to make some big differences in my totals before the month is out. I've got 29 days to save £1,500 so here we go.....

I'm determined not to add to my debt total and pay for this upfront. Even though it's 0% Apr.

  • Hiya,

I'm still here been a busy week I've been on annual leave but done a ton of overtime and inbetween been visiting friends and going to the gym.

I'm off to work again tonight so short and sweet post.

There has been a hold up up on my OT pay so haven't put the £500 into the laser pot. Got to wait til next Thursday now :-(

I have however booked NYC going for my birthday as planned in March next year. Deposit has been paid and I'm in no doubt that I can pay for the trip before the year is up. No credit used just money I have. £300 paid to NYC trip so far and I've got £650 to pay before the end of the year.

That's all from me folks! Still no credit card being used. I've brought a few xmas and b'day presents as well and I keep forgetting I've got that money saved. I've done a list, think I may get xmas done for the £200 mark. The rest of the money I have saved I will move to the laser treatment pot.
Hope everyone else is doing okay will catch up with threads on my lunch tonight xx
