Hey hon
You're doing so well and the overtime will be a huge bonus to your target. It's an ambitious one but one I'm sure you'll reach, just remember to take some time for yourself.
Have a great eveningxx

Hey Sassychick!
Boo on the hold on your pay, how annoying! However you’ll soon get it in the pot. Remember that you’re very close to superwoman but you’re not completely invincible, don’t run yourself down!
For xmas pressies I make a google docs sheet with a column for person, gift, budgeted price, best cashback price, actual price… My budget was £230 and I’ve spent £65 by really scouring for the best deals. Whilst it’s a dull task I get some great bargains that I wouldn’t get if I didn’t sit with a notepad totting up which deal is best – voucher codes or cashback etc. It's a really simple sheet but it's really helped focus my spending for Xmas as usually I go overboard!

Sauceoclock - a girl after my own heart I'm glad I'm not the only one with the spreadsheet and the bargain hunting I've saved about 50% of my ideal budget and then a wack of the actual spend has come from vouchers, cash back etc its a great feeling xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0

Im at work at the moment hoping to catch up everyone's page whilst it's calm lol. Xx3rd LBM July 2014: Debt [STRIKE]£31,416.68[/STRIKE] Down To: [STRIKE] £23,403.43[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]15th July: £25,709.83[/STRIKE] 26th March: £31,229.68

Hi all,
I probably won't calm down but the thought is there lol.
I'm looking forward to Thursday so I can move the money to the laser surgery pot think there will be £600 in there after I get paid (finally).
I'm confident I can meet my goals the pads have had to stop because of the large amounts I'm pledging on have to be extra careful with the pounds.
I'm so excited about the surgery and New York another item to cross off the list. :j
sauce I love your budget Xmas I'm unfortunate that I have DDs birthdays right next to Xmas one before and one straight after. Most the family want vouchers. Easy enough to buy and low limits have been set and agreed by all.3rd LBM July 2014: Debt [STRIKE]£31,416.68[/STRIKE] Down To: [STRIKE] £23,403.43[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]15th July: £25,709.83[/STRIKE] 26th March: £31,229.68

You're so lucky with the overtime, though must properly tire you out!
I've been reading for a while and thought I'd pop my head in. I need to get a bit more organised for xmas, but I have no idea what to buy anyone.
I need to set a few pay/save goals like you and start working towards them.
Look forward to following your progress further!

Hiya PP thank you for the encouragement and for coming out of lurkdom.:j
Right then my lovely supporters :TChristmas is my worst time of year...I struggle with control. I love to spoil friends and family especially the kids. This year I have set a £50 budget each for my three kids, £25 for adults and £15 for kids in the family.
This is my first christmas without my catalogue and without my credit card eek. it's really opened my eyes and I think without the credit it will make me more careful. I hope....
I will be spending xmas at my in-laws this xmas so should save a small fortune this year. Everyone usually comes here so I should notice the difference financially.
Here's my xmas list so far:
Sister 1: gift voucher £20 with a small toiletries set that was a few quid.
Sister 2: gift voucher £20 with a small toiletries set that was a few quid.
Niece 1: Claire's voucher £10 with a small toiletries set that was a few quid.
Sister-in-law: £15 toiletries set
Nephew: £13.99
DD 1: hoodie and necklace custom designed with favourite film series on and a vanity case.
DD 2: CD player £29.99 and an album.
DDS: His still changing his list.
Niece 2: baby shaper sorter and a dress £15
Grandmother: a custom made Christmas pudding cake friend makes them. £20 and some smellies.
That's it so far 9 more family members to add but it's a start....
Now for the birthdays:
Niece: walker thingy £20
DD: we usually budget £100 for birthdays: I'm making a teenage equilvilant of a nappy cake but with teenager things on no nappies :rotfl:
DD 2: a laptop ready for senior school to do homework etc but will get in the sales as its a week after Xmas.
Father-in-law: bottle of whiskey getting today morrisons are doing them for £11.
So that's it I'm off to argos today to buy some of the list as a lot of the items are in the sale.3rd LBM July 2014: Debt [STRIKE]£31,416.68[/STRIKE] Down To: [STRIKE] £23,403.43[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]15th July: £25,709.83[/STRIKE] 26th March: £31,229.68

Hey hon
Great ideas about the Christmas presents. I'm just as bad as you. I love to spoil everyone - even the members of my family I'm not so keen on lol. But I'm also not using cc or catalogues this year so I'm hoping I can stay as strict as you. In fact, I may even steal one of your ideas!
Have a great afternoonxx
