Orange-horror itemised phone bill from Canada
Comments
-
The full story is that the phone is still in Canada. No longer usable. It is with it's owner - my daughter who used it from 19 - 30 November with 2 days cut off by Orange. The account is in my name.
I am finding it hard to communicate with her about the data counter. I have sent many many messages since being on this forum, but the time difference between us, as well as our working hours is not favourable so have not been able to talk 'one to one' as yet.
I am trying hard to pursue what the data counter said and will let you know when I know.
Got a little respite (and a little more sleep) with the credit of £27K+
Thanks for your patience.
So again - what's an 'OP' and a 'troll'?0 -

OP = Original Poster
Troll = Convincing your victim that they truly believe in what you are saying, no matter how outrageous, A person whose sole purpose in life is to seek out people to argue with on the internet over extremely trivial issues.
Generally pi$$ing people off by not answering given questions when asked!!!0 -
Ah, I see. Thanks MTM.
However, what I did not want to do is to pi$$ anyone off. All I wanted was to seek answers to immediate questions without having to go into a long boring story.
The 'story' however, has now briefly been told.
I am doing all the investigations I can, one by one, and it is going to take time.0 -
I guess you mean "you are" or "you're"Mylo_The_Moggy wrote: »Troll = Convincing your victim ...

Surely that wouldn't make sense????? "Convincing you are victim", "convincing you're victim".
This isn't a forum about blumming spelling mistakes fgs.
Wasn't my grammar anyway, I copied & pasted from a website!!!
Some people are soooo picky........Either that or are you implying "I'm" a victim of trolling for reading this thread & commenting, along with everyone else? Does it actually matter??0 -
OK, I might have been wrong.
So, allegedly we all were victims here that the OP (allegedly troll) tried to convince. This does make sense.
My (incorrect) interpretation was that the alleged troll tried to convince us that they were a victim of Orange's error.
I stand corrected. My apologies...:o0 -
Did your daughter monitor the data counter throughout each day of usage to ensure she didn't go over the 30MB/day allowance? If not, what other precautions did she take to stay within the allowance and avoid being charged £8,000 per gigabyte?lulubelle41 wrote: »The full story is that the phone is still in Canada. Thats the trouble with being a web pedant, you have to be so careful not to make a single mistake otherwise youre the one that looks silly. And yes Ive deliberately written this reply poorly so that pendants everywhere can highlight all the errors
:rotfl:
Please take this reply in a light hearted manner because I've made many pendant like replies on forums only to have my errors highlighted

But presumably that offer is not open ended. If you don't accept it and pay within a certain timeframe, they will simply withdraw the offer, as they're entitled to do, and pursue the full £30K.No free lunch, and no free laptop

If Orange did not make the offer "without prejudice", then the OP could ultimately cite it in court with a strong chance of a settlement for that amount. But presumably that offer is not open ended. If you don't accept it and pay within a certain timeframe, they will simply withdraw the offer, as they're entitled to do, and pursue the full £30K.0
