Rain doesn't bother me and is in fact, welcome sometimes. I've been caught in hail twice this year. To make it slightly worse, the first time, I had hail behind me and wind coming towards me. It was, er, interesting. And bloody painful!

How is that even meteorologically possible?

Hi everyone ,just checked back in to see what you have all been up to ,I had to take a couple of weeks off at the end of last math as have done something to my knee, started again twice weekly only doing 2 / 3 miles walk/run as knee still not right ,not swollen just very painfull, having to use strapping to give some support, but a lot better than it was .... So hopefully will increase soon ,think I have done 120 mile in the last 13 weeks, haven't set a target for the year,is that a good idea ? Next run will be Tues then either Thur or Friday depending on work/children ...

June update from me, 43.1 miles taking me to 175.5 miles or 70.2% of my yearly target.

New PB at the weekend parkrun of 22:03...pleased with that but would like to get closer to 21 minutes!

  • Here we are at the halfway mark, how are we all doing?

I'm just checking in with you all, I'm slightly behind so will need up my game a little because I don't fancy playing catchup in December.

Behind. Just over 1200km done of a 2500km target. Have put both running and photography on the back burner a bit while I finish my thesis though, so hopefully I can get back into it when that's out of the way.

This is something that concerns me when I start studying. I have a HM the day after we're meant to start our course. Because it's OU, I can either be a saddo and take my work with me, or do it the week before.

I've not found it too much of a problem, as most running events are one day weekend activities etc. Unless you're making a several day trip of it? Really the conflict has just come about as I found I've needed to be putting in a 12 hour days for the last few weeks.

I have to travel there, stay overnight, race, stay overnight and then come back the following day.
