We went down to St Levan yesterday near Land's End for a race. It was lovely. But I got pins and needles, which appeared to give me knee pain. Very odd.
Very nice views though!Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

August update from me, record month with 71.6 miles, taking me to 287.8 miles and over my original 250 mile target and almost at the revised 300 mile target I set last month!!
Also managed a PB of 21:40 in this mornings parkrun which was over 20 seconds off my previous best, so well happy with my running at the moment
Half marathon in 7 weeks, so need to keep the training going, main aim is to keep increasing mileage.2014 running challenge 587.4 miles / 250 miles0 -
Aim is 500 miles for this year. Have currently done 359.01

Ran the Cardiff 10K last Sunday, got a PB of 46:32, and today ticked over to 1500km total for the year. This is good news. On the other hand, I should be at 1753km by now.If you think of it as 'us' verses 'them', then it's probably your side that are the villains.0

Second half marathon of the year done. I am not doing that one again! It was rather painful.

September update from me, record month with 95 miles, taking me to 382.8 miles and over my original 250 mile target and revised 300 mile target I set in July! Will hit 400 miles this month....think I have the running bug, but will see how much my training slows now the weather is turning...as last year I "retired" during the winter
Also managed a PB of 20:32 at the Parkrun 2 weeks ago which was over 1 minute off my previous best, so well happy with thatTarget for next year is to try to get that under 20 minutes.
Half marathon in 2 weeks, so now tapering down after a 15 mile run this weekend, yes I know I didn't need to hit that distance, but wanted to go above the distance, plus helps if I want to try for a marathon in 2015.2014 running challenge 587.4 miles / 250 miles0 -
I was told to do a slightly longer run in training, so you know you can do that distance.
Half marathon with a PB yesterday. Loved the course and would love to do it again. Not too sure, especially after today, whether I can justify travelling that far for a race again. It was, however, lovely running around Boscombe and Bournemouth piers. Such stunning views.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

Congratulations. Did the Cardiff Half yesterday. Running watch has a PB, but my chip failed so no official time.
I also subscribe to the run the distance or slightly further philosophy. Back into marathon training after this week, which makes that tactic brutal. If you think of it as 'us' verses 'them', then it's probably your side that are the villains.0 -
Good to know I'm not the only one going beyond the distance in training then!! A few people had mentioned going to 10/11 miles, but after reading some other stuff online, decided to go beyond the usual distance.
Anymore half's this year Indie Kid? Which marathon are you training for danothy?2014 running challenge 587.4 miles / 250 miles0 -
No more halfs planned. I have a 10k in November (silly me booked a flu jab the day before...) and a 5 miler at the end of November.
And yourself? Do you have any more races planned?Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked
