I left the house with 8 miles left of my challenge today thinking shall I do a 5+3 or 4+4 this week to finally put this long challenge to rest.
The whole run consisted of me arguing with myself and ended up doing the full 8 miles which further proves that running really is 98% mental and 2% physical.
The only questions remaining is what is next years goal? and did Martin complete the challenge?0 -
Well, what a year. I've been dogged by injury and distraction. Missed my goal of 2,500 km, but I still managed to run ~1,850 km in 2014. Quite pleased with that. Some statistics:
Total distance: 1,854.03 kilometres
Total time: 7 days 22 hours 39 minutes 21 seconds
Total elevation gain: 21,615 metres
Number of runs: 138
Average distance: 13.43 kilometres
Average time: 1 hour 22 minutes 54 seconds
Average speed: 9.7 kilometres per hour
Average heart rate: 148 beats per minute
Longest run: 46.04 kilometres
Max heart rate: 192 beats per minute
If you think of it as 'us' verses 'them', then it's probably your side that are the villains.0 -
The year started well but things went awry after an illness.
I managed about 350 miles out of my planned 500, which is still more than I've run in any year previously. :j Hoping to top that this year, health permitting.
Well done everyone and Happy 2015. :T2021 Targets

Three weeks into the new year and I'm up to 150 km ... marathon training is taking its toll, but at least I'm sleeping well.If you think of it as 'us' verses 'them', then it's probably your side that are the villains.0
