    Today was race day :D

    I did in 1hr 30 :o:o

Rather naively maybe, I'd not realised it was a trial run. It had been raining for about 20 hours beforehand so it became a very muddy trial run and I lost a lot of time on the first lap dodging people who were dodging mud

I will keep running, but my next one is definitely gonna be a road one, where it know it'll be quicker!

Ouch. That bloody hurt. Someone please tell me why I'm stupid enough to have a) signed up to another half marathon and b) decide next year to do another one? I wouldn't be lying if I said it's only because I want that medal. It's the Wimbledon Common half and the medal is of a womble.

This week has marked a resurgence in my running. I'm hoping that I can get back to my previous form now. Been putting it off a lot, but I've passed a work milestone now and rewarded myself with much needed replacement running shoes.

No small task ahead of me though, I need to average just over 8.5km a day for the rest of the year to meet my target. Currently at just over 1300km.

Good luck. I'm doing my standard 10k training route in reverse tomorrow morning.

    Thank you :)

Debating whether to do Beachy head 10k. It's the week before Plymouth 10k and 3 weeks after Bournemouth half.

Three weeks should be well enough to get over a half.

Paced 31 minutes for my local parkrun this morning. More stressful than going for a PB. Was bang on the target time though.
