Trevornick 10 miles on Sunday. Unsure how I feel about this - it's multi terrain and involves running across a pebble beach.

This would more than double my mileage for May.

Broke 1000km for the year yesterday on an assault course at Burghley House near Stamford. Ruined today.

I managed 2.15k before dropping out. :( Both ankles were playing up and the left one was hurting on Monday during training. Not happy; but it was the bext decision. My coach said that the race just got harder and harder.

A DNF is infinitely better than a DNS. There's no shame in actively not picking up an injury.

Thanks. :) Really didn't want to carry on. I have a 10k in 2 weeks time too.

Assuming your ankles are feeling better for it do you have an expected/desired time for it?

Remind me to wish you luck closer to the time.

Hey guys, well done to all of you still running. I haven't regained my mojo and feel guilty every time I see there's an update on this thread, however, I have a friend who is keen to get fit so we're starting to go for long walks together instead (she can't jog or run due to back troubles). I may make it back officially later in the year, but am pleased about the 7 mile walk my friend & I went on yesterday, we have another walk planned for tomorrow but it's likely to be somewhat shorter as it will need to be after work. Better than nowt eh ;)

Keep up your hard work everyone :)

Another 5k training run and 1 minute 12 off my seasons' best. It's starting to get really hot out there. May have to consider 5am runs again. :(
