Struggled towards the end of last week, but managed to get all my runs in, including the longest run yet at 5 miles. So happy that I've managed to keep running all winter. 91/500 miles for the year so far. :j2021 Targets

Due to a combination of a holiday (Belgium – very nice, Ghent is well worth a visit) and then getting a bad cold almost as I soon as I got back I’ve only been out on one run in the past two weeks.
Seeing as I am running 52 miles on 13 July I am slightly concerned! Getting back into training this week though.0 -
The Green Man ultra marathon took place round my way this weekend- they were doing 46.3 miles  They're doing it again in August, this time starting at midnight and doing the same route in reverse
I didnt realise that was what they were doing when I saw them, otherwise I'd have been stood there with a bag of jelly babies for themI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Health & Beauty, Greenfingered Moneysaving and How Much Have You Saved boards. Hello, my name is Sam. My running challenge target distance for 2014 is 800km/500 miles. (Joining this a bit late - but better late than never
.)
I’m 45 and consider myself to be reasonably fit. I’ve been running on and off for about 6 years. Last year I was running about 10 ½ minute miles, then I put on about 2 stone, and I’m now closer to 12 minutes L. (So maybe not as fit as I think!)
This year I’m trying to run in as many of my local 10k races as possible, and have also organised a 2 teams in my work to run in the Belfast Marathon Relay. (I’ll be running 2 legs of it, totalling about 9 miles.)
I have a spreadsheet (bit of a spreadsheet fan myself), which even includes trainer mileage!! I’ve been using walkjogrun.net to log my runs since.
2014 (so far) 112 miles
2013 420 miles
2012 491 miles
2011 305 miles0 -
After not going out running properly for two weeks (was it really that long?!), I was back out tonight, 3 x 5 mins, including twice up a little hill :j
Any route that isn't totally flat is my nemesis, so this is good for meI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Health & Beauty, Greenfingered Moneysaving and How Much Have You Saved boards. Just got back from a 5k / 30min recovery run, after the 16k on sunday. While I was out, got to thinking about where I was a year ago. (My mind wanders alot when I am out!!)
On week 2 of couch25k, telling myself to give up as I would never be able to do this.... hopefully that might encourage someone, if I can do it, anyone can!2014 running challenge 471.95 km / 1000 km.0
