I try to go 3 times a week (Mon, Weds & Fri) and almost always go just after I'm home from work, before I sit down and am tempted to not get moving again! Usually that's around 4:30-5pm the first 2 days and 3pm or thereabouts on Fridays. Like you I'm not a morning person and my weekends are far too precious to go running on!
I’ve now started running home from work which is great as it cuts down on transportation costs and it means that once I get home I my running is done. Sometimes when I used to drive or cycle home from work it was a real drag to go out for a run, but now I just take my running stuff to work and then at the end of the day get changed and run home.
It is only about 7.5miles and it takes me about 55 minutes, and when I used to drive it would take me 40 minutes so all in all there isn’t much difference!0 -

If I could do it I probably would, especially as there's a shower at work, but it's a 13 mile journey each way and I'm only reaching distances of around 2 1/2 miles per run while I train myself up. I do wish work were that little bit closer so I could consider cycling though.£12k in 2019 #084 £3000/£3000

Nearest station is 15 miles in the wrong direction lol. Plus I have such a small and cheap to run car considering alternatives like that would end up costing me way more in fares than it does in petrol!
Out of curiosity, what do you do with the bits you change out of? Do you leave them to take home on the days you're not running home, or do you carry them? If it's the latter is that not cumbersome having to carry, especially over that distance?£12k in 2019 #084 £3000/£3000

I bought myself an Omm 15l ultra backpack. It is great, I just fold up all my work clothes and stick them in my backpack. I don't really notice it and leave my shoes at work so I'm not really carrying much at all.0

I didn't run yesterday
My shin was starting to become a bit painful so I thought it better to rest it until Sunday

I'm feeling guilty, I just couldn't find the motivation after getting home from work today (the Friday feeling was just too strong!). I might see if I feel like going out tomorrow though to make up for it...£12k in 2019 #084 £3000/£3000
