    Ah ok. It was just that I thought Id read something that said if youd had more than a certain amount you should pump and get rid of it first, but I cant remember what that amount was. Maybe it was just being over cautious?
    I think there's a lot of misinformation floating about generally due to old ideas from when less was known. I don't know whether this specific thing comes from old misconceptions but it's quite common so I imagine it's where it originates.

    Ohh congratulations hun!! :j:beer::j
    So happy for you xx

    With regards to the bad diet tbh I thought it was odd when MW said that to me as I never heard it before, definitely not malnourished not all 12st of me anyway :rotfl:, no kind of intolerances known, just an unhealthy fear of food:eek:

    B xx

    Maybe contact a local breast feeding support group and get a second opinion then?

    Congratulations Ellie, bathroom floor is impressive well done :) x

    Am I the only one that's not particularly fussed about ever drinking again? I don't think I'm a particularly good drunk at the best of times and I haven't missed it at all, well other than a cider in a beer garden in summer.

    Little lady is still staying put, although halfway through Sherlock the BH started up again. I'm so over them now! OH has gone to bed as he's got bootcamp (exercise thingy) in the morning and has to be up at 6am so have told him I'd wake him if anything exciting happens...doubt it though! I'm going to be in so much trouble with my family if she's born tomorrow, on my nephews birthday. It's bad enough I'm having the girl my sister always wanted!

    Wow! Congrats Ellie and baby boy!

    I have woken up with a sore throat :( Hoping it is nothing more than irritation but that could be pointless as everyone I know and/or work with has been ill over the past two weeks. I've been nursing bf better so that he is well enough for his Rio prep camp this weekend and then my parents are both ill, brother was ill over Christmas, bf's parents haven't been their brightest and all of my colleagues have had coughs/colds/flu and all the associated gubbins :/ I started night before last after we got back from bf's parents. The minute I lay down I felt sick then after 3hours sleep I was awake and unable to get back to sleep. Spent most of yesterday feeling sick and now a sore throat :(

    We took Christmas down yesterday after we got back and repacked our storage cupboard. Not sure where everything would go now if bf's dad hadn't put us two massive shelves up in bf's 'shed'! We also cleared a lot of junk from the cupboard we use as a wardrobe and took it down to just one rail between us and the storage boxes! After all that I was far more exhausted than I already had been and bf thought I looked a bit off so told me to sit down and ordered a take away for us!

    Bf is away 20 days in January! He goes away tomorrow morning for 2 nights/3 days for this Rio prep camp then he's back for 1 night and away again the next morning for 3nights/4days, back for 3 nights then away 3nights/4days, back again for three nights then away again for 7 nights/8days and then away an extra night after that! Glad we don't have a January due date! I think I will use the time to focus on cracking through the sorting/washing of the clothes etc we've been given and also getting my hospital bag together. I need to estimate the cost of what I need for the hospital bag as bf will send the money over from our baby savings account as he's not here to stick it on the right card :)

    Wow that was a long one! Sorry!

    Lush - I think I spent about £10-15 on my hospital bag.most of it you have around the house or is clothes for baby. I put all the samples of nappies in the babies bag as they'll be covered in black tar poo so didn't want to trash the reusables.

    Mornin all, 12th day in hospital! Had a little meltdown at doc yesterday as i was narked at missing new yr eve with hubby and said if I haven't had baby by Friday then I'd like to be discharged as nowt wrong with me and baby is fine on the 40 odd monitors I've had! They're arranging an ambulance for me from my hospital in north London to the hospital in central London for a scan at 2.30pm today. My mum wanted to come with me but not be able to come in ambulance so will meet me there.
    Hope baby comes soon kerri.
    Hope the sore throat doesnt develop into anything worse lush.
    Congratulations to Ellie, looking forward to more details about the birth but get some rest and enjoy your little man for now.
