Congratulations Ellie! That sounds very quick!
Am slowly joining the no sleep club which will be fun when I go back to work next week!
I have the health visitor coming out today, wonder if she will be more use than my mw?!First baby due 3/3/14 - Team Yellow! Our little girl born 25/2/140 -
What a pain Jox! Do they not have any scanners at your hospital?!
Becca when do you finish work? I thought you'd finished now! I go back on Monday for 6 weeks, so til half term.0 -
I've been scanned twice in ultrasound dept at my hospital and twice with a portable scan by my bedside. The machines at the hospital in central london are apparently more advanced, oh well a little trip out today to look forward to lol.
Hope work is bearable mrs bunny.0 -
Kerri I'm not bothered either, I rarely drank before I got pregnant.0

Kerri you certainly won't be able to drink as much as you did before! I had 4 months between stopping breastfeeding and falling pregnant again, but since little ones tend to have you up early a hangover is the last thing you want to risk so I never had more than one or two cocktails on a night out! I have a rule now though that since I'm only ever able to have a couple, I have exactly what I fancy - if that's a £7 cocktail or £5 glass of wine so be it! No more shots of Apple Sourz "because they're cheap" lol. Sorry to hear little lady is still giving you the runaround - it won't be long now! As you say only 5% give birth on due date but it's highly highly likely she'll be here by this time next week! x
Jox hope it's all ok today, like you say it's a change of scenery!
MrsBunny must be a great feeling that you're going on mat leave THIS MONTH!0 -
Lush - I think I spent about £10-15 on my hospital bag.most of it you have around the house or is clothes for baby.
Yeah, I'm thinking of telling him it will just be £20 as that should be more than enough and he wants me to tell him before he goes away in the morning
Regarding drinking - I have never been a massive drinker but have oddly found myself missing a glass of wine with a meal out/'occasion' at home. That said I maybe drank a glass of wine once/twice a month before finding out I was pregnant so not much to miss!************************************

Loads of people have said do I miss having any drink and no I don't. I have only drunk once this year and I was very drunk and the aftermath was not pleasant. At the end of the day it costs a lot nowadays out on the town or in pubs and I have better things to spend my money on!
Lots of jobs to do today as DS heads to his Dads this weekend. Got to get all his bits ready for school. Can't believe how fast it comes around.
Two essays to double check and edit and then 1st hand in complete as well. But with DS gone all weekend that will make it easier. I have terrible guilt when I am sat studying and he has to play alone, or watch tv endlessly. But some odd days that has had to be. I am going to plan my time better this semister.
Kerri_dfw - hope your little lady stays put! You really are a boldy now.
Jox - Hope you can go home soon!
MrsBunny - Maternity leave for me isn't until April but I am sure that will still come round really fast.
Lushlifesaver - I do hope you feel better soon.

Just googled placenta previa which I have (placenta covering cervix) and I can see why they are beng so cautious with me, feel a bit bad at hissy fit yesterday. Docs came into see me just now and were congratulating me on making it to 34 weeks today, they say they are waiting for an excuse to deliver me and the hospital in central london may have the deciding vote, life's not boring is it!
have a good day ladies0 -
Claire - I'm working next week then finishing
glad you had a good day at the theatre but sorry you were so exhausted.
Jox will be thinking of you today, hope all goes well xFirst baby due 3/3/14 - Team Yellow! Our little girl born 25/2/140 -
Good morning and happy new year!!
Our babies will be here this year!
So, back to work today and I'm felling queasy.... sat at my desk trying to sip water and nibble on some breakfast biscuits. Maybe yoghurt for breakfast wasn't a good idea!
Big congratulations Ellie, what a surprise! Hope you and the little man are doing good and recovering well.
Count down to mat leave can begin now! Only 8 or 9 full weeks left at work (dependant on whether I can make myself work an extra week or not!)
Jox hope scan goes well.
kiddicare order of car seat and base arrived this morning too. Annoyed that I missed out on an extra 10% off if I'd waited and ordered yday instead of new years eve, but at least its here and sorted.
28 +1Mini me due March 2014
