I've got this really strong urge to clean out the tiny bedroom (which will eventually be the nursery). DH said 'I'm not painting the whole room pink or blue.' to which I responded 'well, since we are going on a Nintendo/Mario theme, why don't we just paint one wall as a blue on top, green on bottom background for the stickers?' At which point his eyes lit up! :rotfl:

My mom asked me the other day - what if it's a girl and you've done the room in Mario? My reply - well, princess peach is a girl! :rotfl:

I've loved reading everyone's stories here and the discussions of pregnancy side effects. I'm just waiting for the stretch marks to kick in, which I'm sure they will with two of them to fit in!

AFM contractions aren't strong and fifteen minutes apart so DH has been sent to work, he's only ten minutes from home so if I need to go in quickly he can come pick me up quickly, otherwise I'm waiting on a phone call to tell me when to come in for a scan, so I'm already planning in my head when I can call to chase lol

Piece of advice ladies, keep a pack of big pack of sanitary towels around, if your waters go panty liners just won't cut it lol and if you decide to keep your hospital bag in the car whilst getting checked out then put some spare knickers and a few pads in your handbag. I didn't think to and my knickers end up soaked as I was on a monitor for an hour so couldn't move. Ended up coming home in a pair of hospital disposable knickers which are made of netting lol

ETA- good luck Claire, hope you're reassured quickly x

Good luck TeamLowe with your hospital appointment - if your waters have gone - I don't think they can leave you that long without helping your labour along - not 100% on that though....... where is kerridfw.....?

Welcome 9ja4life and Luella! :wave: Wow, twins, my OH will be so jealous, he really wanted a boy and a girl at once so we'd have our family finished in one go!

On proper countdown to ML now, when people ask when I'm leaving I can say 'One week today!' :j I've got Monday off too so it's a happy short week! Woo! Bit miffed that the lady replacing me has absolutely no experience in our field and management assume I can train her up (and finish my outstanding work!) by the time I leave. Not going to happen, or do they really think my job is that simple that anyone can just do it after a week's training?!

Hugs for horrid hip pain Claire. Good luck for the scan today, I'm sure baby girl is fine and will be waving hello to you!

Would love to see your Mario room when it's done Mrs TM! So cool! There are just so many opportunities for DIY Coolness with that, hope you go mental with it!

I finished my lamp upcycle last night (wrapped ribbons and pompom trim around a plain cream shade) and I'm really pleased with it! OH was really sceptical when I said what I was going to do but was very impressed with the results, said 'Wow, it even matches the curtains!' Well, duh, that's what I was aiming for! Will post a piccy on the FB group tomorrow when I get a chance to take a photo in daylight!

Good tip about the sanitary towels TL! I'll go buy a pack just in case! OH has already said he's going to put a towel in the car for me to sit on when the time comes so I don't ruin the seat!
