Me too, samtoby :( Had a few 'oops moments' with DD1, but it's definitely been worse this time - coughing and sneezing do it for me. I've been trying to do a lot more pelvic floor exercises this time around, but sometimes it feels a bit uncomfortable, so it's been a bit hit and miss. I know I should be doing as many as possible really.

Hope all you other ladies are doing your pelvic floor exercises too! :T

Ditto here. In fact now I am 37 weeks I onlyhave to 'think' the word pee and my bladder starts to relax. There is really not much time between realising I need to pee and making it to the bathroom. :o:eek:

TL - I can't believe your gonna jump that many ladies in the queue:eek: .Best of luck I hope it all goes smoothly for you. Looking forward to hearing all about little Lowe.:j

Lily - So glad you and Clover are safely home together at last! What a journey you have had. Hope it is all cuddles and plain sailing from here. Congratulations:beer:

I haven't had bladder problems per se, but last night OH and I were messing about and I literally p1ssed myself laughing! :rotfl: If that's not a reminder to do my pelvic floor muscles, I don't know what is! :p

I have an issue I am going to have to see the Dr or Midwife about.....I keep leaking wee. It usually happens if I laugh too much or cough and I wonder if its baby sat on my bladder. I am doing some gentle exersizes, in the hope testing the pelvic floor to stop it happening. I am only 21+4 - think if it gets worse how I will be at 30+ weeks!

I did have terrible trouble with my pelvic floor after DS so might be that reoccuring - but that was after he was born.

I have the same problem samtoby :o I got told by the MW that it's quite normal after the tear which I had with DS and that nobody would touch me until after baby anyway. Its definitely worse when baby is pushing down.

Ohhhh TL, lots of good birth vibes :D

evening ladies, feeling much better now from my swollen scare on Tuesday, yesterday was hard in work but thankfully HR allowed me to take leave today so all I have done is rest - and I am shattered!!!! just tomorrow to work before the weekend, whoo.

Good luck teamlowe.....you were due on my birthday but I don't think you will be waiting long now!

for the ladies waiting for labour to start....is the week as long as the 2ww when ttc? I remember that being the longest 2 weeks of my life!! but now I am thinking waiting to meet little bud might be the longest time ever.

I am desperate to meet my little man, 34 weeks tomorrow so still have some time yet I just can not wait! like a kid at Christmas!!!

just had an email from mothercare.......their spring collection is now online....I am off to have a nosey at all the lovely clothes our babies could be wearing soon! DH better get some overtime in at work, I need pennies to spend!!

    :) xx

It's all normal. I had to have a word as everytime I was sick I was like, did I just pee myself a bit?! My MW said it's totally normal, you're muscles are really relaxed and as a result you dont have as much control over them as you once did. Not the most glamourous though I do admit!

Is anyone else finding being off work boring?

This week was first week off work without hubby for me. Monday-Wednesday I had lots of plans, mix of social, shopping, housework etc. I got a lot done and felt very positive.
Today I did very little, didn't even leave the house, and by the time hubby got home was feeling thoroughly lonely and hormonal. Need to plan something in for everyday next week to keep myself sane even if it's just a small achievement like a spring clean or a walk to the shops.
Tomorrow I'm going to wilkos for fabric dye and getting my hair cut!

Just spent an hour or so with hubby going through our baby name book. Still no definite name picked out but got our short list a bit more sorted- added a few new names, crossed off a few we're less sure of and relegated a few to second name choices only (eg Patrick where we love the name but don't like Paddy/Pat so would get stuck with nicknames!)

Thanks for all the headsup messages re baby events at the supermarkets.

Claire good luck with the scan tomorrow, not that I think you need it :)

Well apparently baby doesn't want me to go speak to medical students or let her auntie be right...

My waters broke at about half three this afternoon, been to hospital and all was fine on the trace. Because I'm three days short of full term it had to be a doctor who did the internal examination and I'm at 1cm, Dr was very insistent that I'm to go straight in if my contractions get stronger as she reckons it'll be quick being early and waters already gone. If nothing overnight they're making me an appointment in the morning for a scan and will have another trace

Sorry for my potential queue jumping ladies!
So you should be! :naughty: Only kidding ;) Good luck! :)

That's an option but those scans I find a little freaky lol! I'm considering one if a deal comes up though. I feel loads of movement but OH couldn't make 20 week scan and think it would be nice for him to see bubz looking more 'baby' now than the alien at 12 lololol
I thought they were freaky too! Seen too many bad examples :p I can PM you our best pic though if you want?

You know, I don't feel that bad about it. Maybe it's because right from the beginning I've convinced myself that I'd go overdue, possibly up to 2 weeks over, so had the 22nd in my head for a good while. Plus it would give him/her a birthday further away from Christmas, which can only be a good thing IMO ;) Plus I don't want me or MiniZee getting DH's cold, so I want that to clear up first :p

Mum text DH tonight (I think me telling them off/being short with them the last 2 times I've spoke to them may have given them the hint to stop bugging me ;)). When DH said no movement from MiniZee etc she replied saying something like "every sympathy for the lateness. It feels like forever at this stage" - and I was just like "no! it doesn't, apart from everyone mithering me to death!" It's only been a day, for goodness sake! :p

Maybe ask me again in a week though, I might've changed my tune by then ;)

    40+1

This happened to me when I had some really bad retching and being sick in the mornings when I hadn't had time to wee yet! I think I was around 10/12 weeks.

Now I sometimes walk along and have to stop as feels like the baby has moved into a position where if I walk too fast I might wee!

And then DH made me laugh the other evening and I had to run to the loo saying stop it stop it I'm gonna wet myself! Lol he thought it was hilarious and tries to make me laugh on purpose!
