    I've been Money Tipped!
Just reading back a few pages...

Claire I'm also thinking of renting a TENs unless I can get one off eBay fairly cheaply.

We use loads of wipes for the dog (he has a habit of shaking all over my cream walls!!) & various things so have a selection of brands! I only like the ones that snap shut though as I find they dry out else. I've got the water wipes to try (offer at baby show) and am thinking about using reusable wipes eventually.

BZ congrats on being a boldie officially! Im very excited to hear your announcement :) thanks for the clearance link too, v tempting!

Kerri & nickit hope things get moving soon

Hope your antenatal class was helpful squirrel, hope I didn't put you off!

Hope you enjoy your baby shower fran :)

Con I was also not allowed to leave & they told me to stay seated!

Penguin thanks for the ll sale link, I needed some more breast pads!

Twigpig we have those Huggies cotton sheets. If anyone was looking for them, I got them from Wilkinsons & Boots

Ooh and I've just had the strangest phone call, Doctors called and asked if I'd be willing to go in tomorrow and talk to some medical students about my pregnancy. I agreed as I've got nothing better to do, so should be interesting lol

I did this for my very lovely gp with my son (I'm sure her referral to fertility treatment BOTH times helped us get our BFP, lol). and even took my son a few times when he was between a few weeks old and about 6 months old. They don't often get the chance to see heavily pregnant women and also tiny babies whilst at the gp's....... They would weigh him, check his boy bits, feel his tummy etc, checked my s section scar, took my bp etc. Hope that helps to know what to expect :)

Thanks Becca - can you remember the price of them in either shop? (I can get them at £1.30 a packet but couldn't find them in Sainsbury's or Tesco today to compare if good value.....)

Oo - is that your cameleon ready? :D

GTT came back fine so no further action there which I'm glad about. Originally mw thought id get a later growth scan due to high bmi but consultant said no. Suppose in a way that's a good thing as it means they aren't too worried about my BMI but would be nice to see bubz again before he/she arrives.
Yay for the test being A-OK :D

I wasn't too bothered by the time the came and I could feel MiniZee moving around so much, but DH really wanted a 3D/4D scan (to bond etc) so we went for one at 31+4 and I'm really glad we did now, actually. Something to consider? There are groupon offers sometimes...
On the topic of bringing on labour, I was making my hair appointments last night with my hairdresser (also cousin) and one of them is 3 says before my EDD, she said she had 3 ladies in last year having their hair done on the week of their EDD and everyone of them had their labour start not long after they got home ! Coincidence of course but I'll be sitting waiting that night for a sign now lol!!
I had mine done on the 30th... didn't work for me ;)

Me too, still completely unconvinced it's ever gonna actually happen! :rotfl:
I thought I was very restrained only spending £20 ;)

Ooh good to know, thanks :) Weird that they're not on anyone's website but are being found in shops

V happy you're both home now Lily :)

I slept relatively well... yet I am knackered. This isn't going to change for months, is it? :p

    Evening everyone,

I have an issue I am going to have to see the Dr or Midwife about.....I keep leaking wee. It usually happens if I laugh too much or cough and I wonder if its baby sat on my bladder. I am doing some gentle exersizes, in the hope testing the pelvic floor to stop it happening. I am only 21+4 - think if it gets worse how I will be at 30+ weeks!

I did have terrible trouble with my pelvic floor after DS so might be that reoccuring - but that was after he was born.

Hold you boldies are all ok, and Rummer and Jox - hope I haven't missed their posts.

    :) xx

Back from 1st antenatal class... It wasn't quite as bad as I was imagining! Covered the basics like what's going on with your body now, where baby is, what happens when labour starts, when to go to hospital, where to go etc... Nothing that you couldn't find out from Google or the midwife but was okay - even just to get a couple of hours away from the office.
Think it was useful for hubby too, in fact I think he enjoyed it more than me!
I think I was more worried about who the people would be. I'm not going to make friends as enough of my friends are pg at the moment but it's still nice to know that people you're going to see every week for 4 weeks are ok! There were 5 other couples and they all seemed okay. Mix of ages, some quiet, some outspoken but no idiots! We were by far the oldest but not in a really obvious way - well I hope not anyway!!
I'm not sure if well 'bond' with anyone just yet but they'll be fine as class buddies for the next few weeks!
Next week is positions and pain relief!

You're 34 aren't you? Omg cant believe you were the oldest!

Im 30 and I am reckoning when we go to NCT we might be the youngest or perhaps on an average sort of age there. Lots of 40+ mums in my area. I will find out next week!

Whereas Im guessing at the hospital class which is a few miles away its much more likely to have younger mums!

Becca what happened at your class? You must be so pleased you finish work tomorrow.

Starting to carp myself about the scan tomorrow. DH can come so thats good, just will also be arriving there at a time when the car park is also full and last time we drove around in circles for 40 mins trying to find a space and I was getting stressed so hope that doesnt happen again.

Ours were the NHS ones so that's probably why. I think 'older' mums tend to book NCT ones. However we are just cheap and opted for the free ones that we could duck out of if we hated them!! :)

Yeah I was a bit worried about just doing the hospital one after seeing some of the chavs in the waiting room for the scans so decided to do NCT too! Although my hospital only does a 1 day course anyway so would have probably done nct anyway, and also because the hospital is not in the actual area where we live, so I'm hoping to make some friends from the NCT group as its very localised as none of my friends here have babies - the friends with babies live miles away. I guess if the hospital had done more free classes we might have saved the money, but I heard so much stuff about NCT decided to bite the very expensive bullet!
