Mrs TM there are special nappy bins that are supposed to trap the smell in if you're looking for one of those, amazon has a couple of different ones.

Sam you're right, hence why we didn't get photos as they would have been of a head or a leg lol

20 week scans make the best for photos.

Ah - I was told I had a low placenta at 12 weeks but as its moved up I won't need a scan because of that. Pictures are expensive!

Piece of advice ladies, keep a pack of big pack of sanitary towels around, if your waters go panty liners just won't cut it lol and if you decide to keep your hospital bag in the car whilst getting checked out then put some spare knickers and a few pads in your handbag. I didn't think to and my knickers end up soaked as I was on a monitor for an hour so couldn't move. Ended up coming home in a pair of hospital disposable knickers which are made of netting lol

Than k you for that! I've added some to the list for when I 8 finally* go and buy the last few bits for the hospital bag (yes I know I've been saying I will for almost two weeks...still haven't!)

Glad the scan went well and you're reassured Claire

Got to work today after taking doglet to the vets and within five minutes the power went off for a good five minutes. Came back on but knocked the server off so no internet or anything. Nothing came back on until ten minutes ago and I'm off in 15minutes for my mw appointment!

Going solo to this one and I have to have two jabs and blood taken so probably a good thing as bf is terrible at the sight of needles.

Well I have achieved zero at work today so just hoping next week will be more productive from the off - leaving myself a to do list so I know what needs doing and that way I can just get stuck straight in to it...in theory! Nine weeks and counting until I go off

Mrs_T_M - I love your posts, you are so organised! I think we are going for the hungry catapillar. I don't want anything too pink if that makes sence. If she wants to have a pink room when she is a toddler or something we can change it, but I think we will stick with that idea. Are you finding out the sex?

I'm really not that organised, I promise! I like to plan things, but right now our house looks like a tornado has been through it! We are out of forks, plates, and nearly out of bowls that are clean because I keep putting off doing the washing up, and there's bunny poo all over downstairs (granted, that's a daily occurrence, even if we vacuumed every day!).

I hated the colour pink growing up, so if it's a girl, we will add in purple highlights in the room instead of pink! :)

We are going to try to find out the sex, and I hope we can!

Thanks! I'm planning on using disposables until DH gets the hang of changing nappies (he's never changed one before!) and until I can recover from having the little one, so it isn't an immediate need. I'm hoping to wash a load of nappies every other day, but I'll just have to see how it goes!

Congratulations Jox. I know only too well how you will be feeling right now but I am thinking of you and Mason and I hope you are both home soon.

Virtually 4lb for 34 weeks isn't too shabby either! Well done Mason.

Apparently if it's the pessary they will give you the option to go home, if it's the gel or drip (for obvious reasons) you have to stay in to be constantly monitored.

I don't really want to be induced but i will be 42 weeks in Tuesday, and the stress of being overdue is beginning to cause problems at home, hubby is mega short tempered and 5 year olds behaviour has got really challenging in the past few days....

I had the pessary and I want given the option to go home. Apparently it carries a slight risk of overstimulating the uterus in which case the contractions will come on suddenly, hard and closer together. They need to monitor you every six hours to bake sure this doesn't happen. I'm not sure there is a lower dose as they are pre dosed.

The girl opposite me in the hospital was given the pessary and she definitely wasn't allowed home. Mind you she did have pre eclampsia too.
