Welcome 9ja4life and Luella-14. Team Lilac or Purple is a great idea :) You excited to be having two or still in shock?

The excitement's definitely kicking in now- the whole pregnancy was a shock but now it's all about planning! There aren't that many twin pushchairs to choose from so in some cases it's made decision making easier! And we get scans every 2 weeks so I'm feeling very reassured.

If anyone's considering cloth nappies, my local large Tesco had bambino mio trial packs reduced to £6.24, they're still £24.99 online.

Lovely photos Jox- Hope you both get home soon.
  • Can you add me to the list please?!

Due 20th June and going to be staying team yellow! 17 weeks today :)

I have been lurking for a while so feel it is time to join in!

Congratulations Jox - he is a little beauty!

And Luella - wow to the twins, hope you enjoy all your twin planning!

    Welcome Luella-twins-how exciting :)

Lovely pics Jox, I love new baby pics :)

20 week scan on Monday so the anxiety is beginning to kick in, don't think it's helped by the horrible week at work I've had, but hey ho, I'm sure I will feel better once my Dominos is delivered :)
  • Awww what gorgeous photos!!!! He is lovely!!!!

BigZ - they can give you a lower dose that means you can go home and still deliver in birthing centres if that's your choice.

Apparently if it's the pessary they will give you the option to go home, if it's the gel or drip (for obvious reasons) you have to stay in to be constantly monitored.
Is this still true if you're consultant led and have to go to the delivery suite though...? I've honestly never heard of anyone going in for induction and being able to come home. I've brought up my fears about induction/staying in to MW too and she's never said anything about a possibility of coming home... (Thanks for weighing in too, COMP :))

Hope things get moving for you two soon and in the least stressful way possible :)

Thanks for adding me and the welcome ladies!

Bigzippy - dreamt we went to Bedford to buy a cotbed with TL - never mind the fact that 1. We currently have 2 cotbeds (long story) and 2. I've never been to Bedford. You went into labour and insisted you were fine so we came home and next thing, TL shouts I think my baby is coming! So I called my midwife and ambulance ( live about 30 mins away from nearest hospital). Midwife turns out to be my SIL - both you have your babies in the living room with SIL helping.
Turns out your baby came out fully clothed! How's that even possible? :rotfl:
    :rotfl: No worries :)

Glad the scan went well Claire :D

What lovely pics Jox :D Did you lose much blood because of the low placenta then?

Moonbabe welcome  I've added you to the list posted earlier today and you'll show up from now on :)

Baby's hiccups are definitely more uncomfortable once the head is firmy wedged in the pelvis :p And although it's very cute feeling MiniZee respond to DH's voice by turning his/her head, that's not exactly comfortable either! :rotfl:

I've lost nearly 2 litres of blood, haemoglobin went from 10.5 before op, to 8 yesterday to 7.5 today. Blood isn't ready from the lab yet so I'll probably have to wait til tomorrow for the transfusion which might mean another 2 days in hospital, I've been here so long I feel institutionalised!

Jox he looks so good! I don't think id have known how little he was unless you'd said.

I hope you are feeling ok with the blood you've lost you must be going a bit crazy being in there so long but at least you now have your baby to keep you company :)

I'm not surprised. In a funny way, do you feel better still being admitted cos you're closer to Mason, or are you not thinking that way and the inconvenience of being in is more than enough, thanks? ;)
