Update on Matalan sheets... they're not on offer, they are standard price. They only had cot bed or moses/pram sheets. The moses/pram ones were £6 for 2, cot bed £10 for 2. No crib sheets for me. :(

Really suffering with my hormones today. I've cried about 5 times... All for stupid reasons! Couldn't find a pair of shoes, got a hole in my leggings, got outbid on eBay and a couple of other times for nothing!! Feeling bit sorry for hubby as he's just wondering what's going on!!

squ1rrel5- that was me yesterday, finishing work at 430pm, it was about 4.05pm and I got sent an email to action (work in travel and most work is around email) I told supervisor that I will not be able to do that email as I had 3 outstanding things ongoing which wouldn't have been done by 430 either. anyway, I needed the toilet and as soon as the office door shut and was walking to the toilet a whole bunch of tears came rolling down my face. I had a good old sob in the toilet -proper tears, couldn't control them for a good while. in the end I dried my face and went back to my desk. of course, everyone could see I had been crying and my lovely colleague asked if I was ok and the tears came again.....sobbing at my desk! Supervisor came round and said to send all emails to her to resend out and for me to go home and told me a few stories of what she cried about when pregnant. I felt so silly and cried all the way home too!! Today I cried a few tears in m&s caf! when I couldn't decide what I wanted for my lunch, in the end I just told my mum to decide as I couldn't make that decision! I am proper hormonal at the moment. I don't really like this side effect of pregnancy!!
Proud mummy to an amazing 8 year old!

I had a productive day when I (eventually) got out of bed at 1.30 ( I wasn't sleeping all that time but OH brought me breakfast in bed then I sat and read my kindle and was caught up in my book).

Took the dog a nice walk seeing as it's dry here then cleaned the house, now relaxing with candles. Only down side today was I was needing the loo mid hoovering and decided I would wait... then I sneezed... not a good idea !!!!

Going to research baby monitors online, not bothered with a video one think a sound one will be okay, baby isn't likely to be alone for a while anyways but will see if any are on offer - will check our local Tesco tomorrow.

Hopefully have some baby news later in here !!! :D

Edit : the random crying is pretty annoying , sometimes it is sad things but it's uncontrollable ( read on FB last week that someones dog had died and whilst that usually would have made me feel sad, I cried on and off the rest of the day!!).. I also started crying at a sad song on the way home from work, have heard the song a million times before and not shed a tear yet you would think I was part of the song the way I was going on !! I'm glad I don't use public transport as I would end up sectioned!!!!

Don't know if this is the right place to ask, I am going to a baby shower ( my friends daughter in law) it is going to be a really posh affair. Afternoon tea in Chelsea!
What would be an appropriate gift to take, I think they may find the nappy cake sort of thing a bit boring.
They don't know the sex of the child, so something unisex, but a bit posh, for about £30 if that is possible?

It might be nice to ask the mum to be or the organiser of the shower about gifts... I had a baby shower today and the girls asked me what I would like (I asked for a particular baby bath and some hooded towels) This meant I would get something we really wanted/ needed and I just held off buying anything bathing related - as I am almost ready to pop I have made sure all the other essentials are already covered!

When I've given baby clothes as gifts I've always tried to include a gift receipt so Mum and Dad can swap for different sizes if they need to.

That's a very generous amount, what a lovely thought.

Hi all, good vibes to Kerri, Team Lowe and anyone else who needs them!

Hormones, eh! My mood swings are a nightmare. Worst scenario was earlier in my pregnancy (prob around 13-14 weeks when I was still super tired too) when my boss was trying to show me one on one a new piece of analysis software - I work in data - and I just burst into tears.... Too tired to learn, frustrated at it all, brain dead... Boss was properly bewildered by it! Oops! It's hubby who gets the worst of it and he has learnt to understand me thankfully!

Baby shower today was nice! Five friends, mum and mil, sil and auntie. We started at 10am, had tea and cakes, played games, the girls got me a few lovely gifts and we chatted lots. We looked through my baby photos and hubby's too! Finished around 1.30 but I stayed at Mums til later as hubby is working today. Made some plans with friends for later in the week so I've got some nice things in my diary and not getting bored/lonely on mat leave.

No plans tomorrow, hubby possibly working again :( but better now than in a few weeks time (he doesn't often work weekends).

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend x

    Good luck Kerri! :D

I'm suffering from hormones too. :o I've just started to go with it and laugh at my ridiculousness, which is really confusing as I end up laughing and crying at the same time! :o I know I'm going to have a melt down (or several!) at work next week as I'm already stressing about what I have to do before I leave on Friday and my boss was just piling on the pressure yesterday morning! OH made me feel better and said that whether I finish everything or not by Friday, someone will *have* to just pick it up and I don't have to worry about it until the autumn so not to let it get to me! :)

Was supposed to be having a movie night with OH but he rang at 6 and asked if he was allowed to stay out with the rugby boys so I'm on my own... so of course I nipped to the shop to buy a carton of ice cream to keep me company! He best enjoy it as once the baby's here these random nights out will be put on the backburner! ;)
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

I usually end up laughing too - if anyone saw me in public they'd think I was insane!
