Thanks lulu. I think I will give my midwife a call in a minute I think as it's been uncomfortable for a couple of hours nowOur first baby due 25th May 2014 :T

Big hugs for still feeling so bad Stsarina, wish I could make you feel better!
MSA, I wouldn't worry too much about the cramps, it could just be stretching pains. As long as baby is kicking away I'm sure everything is fine.
Is it weird that I'm feeling jealous of ladies losing their plug?! :rotfl: Having absolutely zero signs of baby coming and I'm feeling pretty fed up!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Oh, and re: tax credits, I don't know if it's been mentioned yet but remember when doing your calculations that the first £100 of SMP each week is disregarded for tax credit income purposes. It makes a big difference.
Good to know! That said...when is the best time to put in an adjustment to the claim/for assessment? And when does the above affect tax credits (straight away or once you go back to work/the next tax year)?
And there was silly little me thinking CB/CTC would be more straight forward to sort out/wrap my achey brain around!
Not much of any interest going on here - baby girl had her bum pushing out just below my ribs of the right this morning; I actually had what looked like an extra lump on my side! then around lunch she must have shifted a bit as my bump is usually wonky but favouring the right and today it looked like the left side was much bigger - even my colleagues noticed the wonkiness!
It made me laugh as for the scan yesterday I was told to prepare by drinking a bottle of lucozade and eating a chocolate bar to 'try and stimulate the baby to make sure they are moving lots' and our little one was sound asleep the whole time! I really do think her body clock is stuck in reverse/she will be a night owl - fairly chilled and seemingly asleep all day then moving a bit more come 8/9pm then at 4am she's having herself a rave everyday!************************************

Just a quick update, I've been trying to catchup with everyones posts but Jasper doesn't like being put down and is somewhat of a milk monster! He's now 4 days old, we are so sleep deprived and bf is hard but he is worth it.
I'll spare you the gory details but make sure you keep drinking throughout labour as I ended up dehydrated and had to leave the birthing pool at 10cm dilated as we were both at risk. My contractions slowed down and I need the hormone drip to get them back again. This meant that it took a lot longer than it should have done and I was exhausted by the end. So my one tip is, keep drinking!! I had to have an episiotomy too so it's pretty painful to do much at the moment, though weeing wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.
I have to say I loved my TENS machine (bought cheap from ebay) it was a great distraction in early labour. Entonox was great too but made me a bit chatty, I remember questionning everyone why I couldn't feel my teeth lol.0 -
Hi All
Just an update from me - had my 27 week check up today and baby is measuring as small (they say because he/she is Transverse) and there are also keytones in my urinethey say there is nothing to worry about, however if they show up in my next couple of visits further tests will be carried out.
Had all my bloods taken again and they said I will probably be anemic as I was prone to anemia when I was younger (find out on Monday)
So not exactly the best visit to date, but I got to hear heartbeat again and the midwife got kicked for poking around :rotfl:
I got weighed and i'm 55kg (put about a stone on) - which is also good news as I'm told this is right on track
Hope everyone has a nice weekend!0 -

I am not 100% but I am sure that sometimes happens when you are not drinking enough or eating enough carbs? I am on iron and probably will be all pregnancy now as every time I stop iron tablets I feel
I am sure other ladies have measured small - had scans and all is ok sizewise. I would love to know how little miss is laying at the moment when I saw the Midwife yesterday she had a little poke and said she thought she was all on my left but then she changed her mind to the right.
Hope you manage to have a nice weekendxxxx

Msa I've literally just has a few weird pains at the bottom of my bump, think I er just needed the loo though! But it does still feel a bit uncomfortable, and different to the normal stretchy pains I get.
Jen 1985 my bump measures on small side of normal too but the scan showed she was pretty much average size or slightly below. The drs keep measuring my bump bigger than the midwife does though so will be interesting to see what she measures it as on weds.
DH has made the cot & the pink rug that I only ordered yesterday arrived today plus some bedding bits from mothercare so it's starting to come together now!
I just now need to get the huge pile of clothes I have - both new & stuff given to us, washed & put away in the wardrobe!0 -
Hi all sorry for my panic earlier and then disappearing completely! Thanks guys for your reassurance, the cramps seem to have died down now thankfully. I had to rush and drive to my solicitor after work as well to drop documents off for our house sale and we are so flooded round here it was a bloody nightmare. Just got home now. Phew. TGIF!!!!
Faerie he is absolutely BEAUTIFULcongratulations!!!!
Aww birdie hugs for feeling so frustrated. Hopefully bubs will come soon
Samtoby someone mentioned iron tablets to me too as I have been so tired lately. I need to make sure they aren't already in my pregnancy vitamins.
Jen I hope your next tests show better results, I'm sure as they said it's nothing to worry about then it'll be fineand woop you got to hear heartbeat!!! :j

Funny that your bump keeps changing Lush. I love seeing my bump change however our lil one seems to have a thing about playing with my ribs at the mo, ouch!
Hope your feeling a little better MSA, have you called your MW?
I'm suffering from heartburn so bad now that I can't remember how it felt not to have it. Even the Gaviscon and Rennes don't seem to be helping. Anyone else suffering?0
