We love ours- it means we can make the bottles fresh no matter when baby decides he wants one as it only takes two minutes so no bulk making needed. When we're out we just use the ready made stuff as it's easier than having to do bottle maths lol

Sounds like it smart cat, it was described as a bit snot like at our antenatal classes!!!!! You an always call your midwife for advice if you're not sure but maybe things are happening soon!! X

I had a small red blob last weekend and been having clear/white stringy blobs every few days since.. Not sure if it's my plug but the hospital did say it can come out gradually over weeks so may be.

Think I might bite the bullet and order the perfect prep. I won't be exclusively breast feeding past 6 months anyways so even if I don't use to begin with it will come in handy then. Or do I wait and see if it gets reduced again ? Hmmm

Well Im officially 24 weeks today so time to move over....


Have just popped into my local Asda and they are reducing all of the baby event stuff. Thought may come in handy for someone? Stairgates were aprox £10ish, high chairs were reduced and I bought a bouncer for about £9.50!

Yep, mine has been very thick mucus with a small blob of old blood in it, followed by some stringy bits of clear/cream the next day, then a blob of very slightly green mucus today. None of it is large in quantity so I don't know if there's more to come and I've heard it can regrow. Sorry if that's tmi, but you can google for photos of other peoples' if you want. :rotfl: As I'm 36 weeks the midwives seemed fine with it. Also my mum said she had loads of blood in her show with her second baby but no labour for four more weeks, so while I'm packing my bag I'm not cancelling any plans for next week.

Hi ladies! Welcome to the newcomers, and congratulations to all the new mums - slightly unnerved by the number of impatient babies we seem to have had on this thread though!

Sorry I've been lax in posting the past week or so, but I've been struggling with the hyperemesis again. Saw the GP this morning and he was amazingly sympathetic, I could have cried with relief not just to get fobbed off again with continuing on the cyclizine and being told it'll probably stop soon - so far, I've been told it usually stops at 12 weeks, 16 weeks and 22 weeks. Well, not here it doesn't!

GP has started me on metoclopramide, so fingers crossed that kicks in over the weekend. I'm still the same weight I was when I conceived, and with my high BP anyway I'm really nervous that little one isn't growing at the right pace. My fundal height is right for dates, but I think I'll be worrying until the growth scan on March 3rd. My best friend said that at least I can stop worrying once baby is here, but anyone else who's a second timer (or more!) will know how untrue that is - my baby girl is 5 now and I still check she's breathing every night when I go to bed!

Oh, and re: tax credits, I don't know if it's been mentioned yet but remember when doing your calculations that the first £100 of SMP each week is disregarded for tax credit income purposes. It makes a big difference.

PS. Kynthia, I really hope you get your contracts exchanged ASAP on the house. What a nightmare so close to your due date, bet you'd be spitting feathers at the seller if you weren't afraid of driving them off.
