Kynthia are you getting the uppa baby vista then? I think it looks quite nice but it's just too tall for me so if you're tall I do think it's a good choice. When I was in kiddicare a tall couple were pushing it round & it really suited them whereas I can barely see over the handle bar (ok that might be a slight exaggeration :) )I really like the silver cross I think it was the wayfarer one (there are so many types!) but the reviews were awful on every website I looked at so it put me off. Were going for the baby style oyster just need to get round to ordering it.

Mrs bunny my friend said the best tops for her were anything with a few buttons in the middle so easy to pull down.

I'm 5'9" and hubbie is 6'5" so I would definitely describe us as tall. :) Many buggies feel like the baby is so low down so the vista is right for us, but why can't it be pretty!!!
Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!

I'm 5'3'' and my hubby is about 5'10'' so it really wasn't great for us well me anyway! I thought it looked quite nice though. In some ways I've had the opposite problem of finding something that is nice & low & light!

Wow the nursery paint company are not only sending me new paint but also refunding what I paid! I might send Debenhams an email to tell them they could learn something!

Morning everyone :) I should be working but it just feels like sooo much effort!
The first week or so it's best to sleep on a big soft towel as you will flood with milk no matter what you wear but soon after, your breasts will adjust. I was surprised at how many clothes I am able to feed in.
I agree with Angelmommy, its easier if your a leaker to start with to just sleep topless with towels under you. Peeling off pads/clothes that are stuck on with dried milk is no fun.

With practice you can feed in practically anything as long as it has a bit of stretch in it ;)

I've made a date with Mum to go to Oxford to get fitted at Bravissimo for some nursing bras. They are expensive but I've found that they last longer than others I've tried. Think they must have reinforced straps to cope with the weight! :rotfl:
Currently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck :)

Congratulations Bambi!! Looking forward to the birth story (or am I!!)

MrsBunny, I am exactly the same as you at the moment. I am having panics about what to get before hand regarding feeding and what to leave until afterwards. I have made about 5 different shopping lists but then when I get to the shop I have a crisis of confidence ad don't actually buy anything, thinking 'what if I'm wasting my money!!' I just can't seem to get past the what ifs at the moment, such as what if I can't feed, what if baby is too big for any clothes!! I just know I'm going to be a last minute panic shopper once the baby arrives!! Well hubby is anyway!!

Claire that's so great about the paint company!!

con1888 - What colour are the bridesmaid dresses? Glad you had advice, sometimes bridal shops are unbelievably not helpful!

They are a nude/peach kind of colour, really lovely. The wedding is kind of vintage themed, 3 of us are bridemaids and all different shapes and the good thing was the dresses we picked suited us all.

Similar to this but the colour of the second

  • nipping over from the 12-24 week thread to ask a question...is anybody planning on not breast feeding and feels slightly guilty about it?

I would like to breast feed at first (to make sure they get the colostrum) but I don't like the thought of it, I find it all quite overwhelming to be honest, I'd like to have swapped to bottles by 6 weeks ish, but I feel so horrible like I'm being a nasty mother?!

    18+5 today :)
