Congrats MrsBunny! You were only a few days in front of me so that was a surprise. What a lovely name as well- always think of cheeky Charlies.April £5 a day challenge- £15.05/£1500

Congratulations Bambi and MrsBunny
I'm dithering about breastfeeding, I'd like to give it a go-I had planned to with DS, but after a long and difficult labour and birth for both of us I didn't have the energy or inclination to do it, and I didn't get any pressure/hassle about it-this was 17 years ago, so I know there is much more pressure around it now, but as I say, I'd like to try, but I won't be beating myself up about it if I can't or change me mind.0 -
Congrats Mrs B! Although have to say I'm envious of you getting your little one! xMarried the lovely Mr P 28th April 2012. Little P born 29th Jan 20140

Congrats Mrs Bunny! Hope you and Charlie are both recovering well. I would not have been ready at 36+ weeks!
Midwife appt this morning was fine, have booked an appt at hospital for 40+5 this weekend - will be a check up and a sweep. At that appt they'll book me in for induction the following weekend in case baby doesn't come before hand.
Managed a nice cafe lunch with some of the ante natal crowd too, two of us with bumps and three with babies came along. Also looked on the high street and got some bits for forthcoming birthdays as I know I'll lose track when baby is new! Going to take it easy tomorrow

Congratulations bambisbelle! And to MrsBunny too, fingers crossed he's out of scbu too
re: bottle feeding guilt- I really wanted to bf but Thomas had low blood sugars which meant he'd need a cup feed of formula which I hated as it looked really uncomfortable and much less natural than a bottle teat. And then after I'd decided to switch I was really glad that I had when he needed phototherapy- I wouldn't have been able to bf whilst he was in there and formula is slightly better for jaundice to get it out of his system.
So whilst in general bfing is better for babies, it doesn't necessarily mean it's suited to you and your baby. There's no doubt in my mind that I made the right choice for my boy
I definitely recommend the perfect prep, makes life so much easier, especially in the middle of the night lol and if you have enough bottles and teats sterilisation is like ten minutes once a day. Oh and the ability to say 'I'm knackered, please can you do the next feed' is worth its weight in goldLittle Lowe born January 2014 at 36+6

Congratuations Bambi! :T
Wow, congratulations to you too MrsBunny! :j
So sorry again Mrs TM, hope you and your OH are doing as OK as you can be in this situation. xxx
Re BFing stuff, I've just bought some bras, pads, nipples shields etc and have a couple of special tops and will add to the collection if I get on with it.Firey, I don't think you're a bad mother at all for not wanting to BF long-term. I honestly don't know how I feel about it and how I'll get on... I'm keeping an open mind about it and have bottles/Perfect Prep etc as well as nursing bras/Lansinoh etc so I don't feel too tied from the start and put extra pressure on myself.
Went shopping with my friend this afternoon to get a nightie and light weight dressing gown for hospital- that's my bag complete! Will be putting it into the car tomorrow then I'm ready to go... you hear that baby boy?!?! Mama's ready for you... hurry up!
Last night I had a surprise baby shower!OH knew how upset I was about being 'forgotten' so organised it with our Mums and my SIL to get people round to ours whilst we were out on a 'last date night' meal so they surprised me when we got back home! Was lovely... I always forget just how much OH loves me and he will genuinely do anything to make me happy- last night was such a reminder of this!
He said it was so hard keeping it a secret too as he usually tells me everything so it felt really unnatural to keep it from me!
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -

Congratulations bambisbelle and MrsBunny.
I can't believe it all happened at 36+3 MrsBunny? That's only next Thursday for me and I don't have a bag packed and I'll hopefully be between exchange and completion on the house and needing to pack and move.Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!0 -

You just know if you don't pack a bag it will be s%ds law and happen on your moving day! Well that's the type of thing to happen to me! I'd have to pack my bag early just not to tempt fate ha ha!0
