OK, how about some genuine advice for people in the market for a new smart phone? For the benefits of this post, I'm not going to say what make/model my phone is

1) Decide how much you are prepared to spend and stick to it. Factor in buying a sim free phone and seeing what tariffs are out there vs. paying an upfront fee and higher monthly premium.
2) How long are you going to keep it for? 2 Years? Will you want a 'free' upgrade? Or are you prepared to buy something outright and keep it for as long as possible?
3) Go to a mobile phone shop and ask to play, play, play with several models of Android, Windows and iPhones. See which one feels right for you.
4) Ask friends and family to show off their phones and why they like them - also prompt them to see what disadvantages they have found over their phones.
5) Make a list of the main features you want in a smart phone - what are you going to use it for or what things can it do that you feel you would be able to make full use of.
Just an idea...0 -

The OP can pay for the Iphone. They are asking if its worth the extra.
So budget is not an issue as such.0 -
Budget should always be an issue!
Points 2 - 5 are still relevant
