Is the iPhone 5s really worth it?

Depends what you're after - yes iPhone forces you to pay a premium price, however it is an investment you make. In terms of simplicity and usability, you'd be hard pressed to find better. It just works. Is that enough to part with your money?
If you're after alternatives;
- HTC One
- LG G2
- Sony Xperia Z1
the iPhone doesn't particularly offer anything other phones won't. I love my iPhone because there isn't anything complicated about it - it has a great camera, it is fast, I wish the battery was better.
I also own the Xperia Z1, which is a superb phone - however you may be put off by the size of the screen. Has a 20 megapixel camera and is water resistant.0 -
iphone useless junk - there is so much missing in functionality/navigation/widgits/keyboards -just a rubbish OS, a glorified ipod without the capacity to hold the music you have - and you have to put up with the wonderful iTunes!
Jailbreaking is easy - but nothing compatible for 5S yet - and IOS feels far too dodgy to install any jailbroken apps - most of which are useless IMHO.
Android far far far better.......0 -
Nope.iphone useless junk
I've not found any missing "functionality".- there is so much missing in functionality/navigation/widgits/keyboards
iOS is great, what problems do you have with it?-just a rubbish OS,
Why would anyone need to carry around more than 64GB of music?a glorified ipod without the capacity to hold the music you have -
I've not found a need to use iTunes for anything. Everything I need to do is done over the air.and you have to put up with the wonderful iTunes!0 -
Definitely yes. iPhones are most definitely worth the premium over Android and Windows Phone devices. They are nicer to use, and have all the functionality you need out of the box instead of requiring endless hunting around for apps or tweaks to make the device work the way you want. iPhones are designed for people who want the best smartphone with the least hassle, Androids for geeks.0

That depends what you're comparing it to. If you're comparing it to the iPhone 5S there's really not much difference, except that the iPhone takes pictures faster (and the Nexus 5 has already had one update that improves speed, with more to come).0 -

LOl,What does the iphone do out of the box that an Android one doesnt?0 -
Plenty of things. I've listed them so many times over and over in various forums because people don't believe it I'm sick of typing it out!
Like what?
Make calls,go online,send messages,log onto wifi,send/receive emails
What are these features that dont work out the box that aren't for geeks?0 -

Lock screen notifications, lock screen music controls, a browser that fits content to the screen, silent switch on the side of the device, music and game volumes confusingly tied together and ignore silent mode of phone, no desktop media manager etc etc. All 'normal user' stuff missing from Android.0
