Christmas stocking has been finished and delivered and I have a lift for next Monday's appointment.
Weekly jobs list for week commencing Sunday 21st December
1) Contact person who is going to help me bring the remaining stuff from the old house.
2) Washing Two (possibly 3) more loads to do then concentrate on getting it all dry and put away. Bathmat, sheet and towel to be left until Christmas Eve.
3) DS3's Room and Presents - he's at gf's house for at least a week. Mostly done just a little more tidying/ put quilt on line to air/ clean sheets on bed. Put presents by bed (Only a photo album with childhood photos, set of heart shaped placemats and chocolate money).
Have started an IOU pile - he wants to start living with his gf if possible (they don't have much money). Want to replace all his tatty underwear and give him the same sort of things the others had when they left home (has had some things as gifts for other Christmases) but can't afford to buy atm. Therefore have been cutting out pictures and writing IOUs for basic pan set/ crockery etc and also undies/2 pair jeans/2 pair trousers/ boots - the jeans he has are the ones I bought him 3 years ago (he's very tall and on the large size so we have to buy specially - size 15 socks).
4) Surfaces Bit of a tidy up in here, cover old furniture with tablecloths (one done/ one cleared/ last needs doing) + large set of drawers downstairs (set up card tree and display).
5) Kitchen Wipe over, put things away where possible. Fill all water bottles (for cooking). CHOP/PEEL/COOK - lots of raw veg chopped into sticks, simple salads (rice/pasta), dips. Aiming to relax and have fun, eat healthily.
6) Aims for 2015 Already have a list. need to go through and work out
a) What I am doing that works - continue
b) What do I do part of the time or could do better
c) What else could I do
Pick some things to implement - Start with simple stuff for an easy win.
7) Jobs Lists Need to start 3- Cleaning that needs doing when recovery is complete eg can't clean the windows atm; DIY jobs I can do; jobs that need help from someone else or that require money. Just need to start jotting them down somewhere (maybe go round room by room, later on).
Rules for the week
Have fun. Take it slowly. Spend some time pampering yourself.

From today until the end of Saturday -
a) Graveyard visit if manageable.
b) Decrease saccharin sweeteners again.
c) Continue using up present food "stock" and sort out foraged apple cider vinegar recipes.
d) E-mail job.
e) Decluttering anything possible.
f) Incorporate more uplifting things into the day.
Good luck with your list!
a) Didn't manage to cycle out to the graveyard yet.
b) Saccharin sweeteners were further reduced.
c) Kept using up food items and just spent £2.25 last week and these were reduced items at a local shop (before the shop shut for Xmas day). The apple cider vinegar recipes were all sorted out.
d) E-mail sent.
e) Different decluttering was done. Shredded some "old" financial information, sorted out some "prepping" type details, deleted some computer bookmarks and reused plastic containers e.g. regrowing spinach and beetroot in them. Other examples were more housework based like tidying Xmas envelopes/gift bags, sorting out an untidy area of the garden, using old (tea towel) rags for cleaning a bicycle and using found oil for the bike and garden tools, plus the usual council stuff put out for collection.
f) To feel more uplifted was really to provide a balance. Consequently, listened to interesting radio programmes, watched some TV. programmes and looked at some old information concerning hobbies that either I still do, or may restart again.0 -
Hello again,
Thanks for the recent posts.
From Sunday until the end of Saturday my list is end of year/New Year based.
1) Check reductions at superstores if possible.
2) Look through 2014 diary and consider the types of usage for the 2015 diary received.
3) Personal end of year/New Year jobs.
4) Start to plan and think about the next food grocery order which is mainly for UHT milk.0 -
Happy New Year everyone. Need to get a bit of direction in place, can't just drift through the next six weeks - I am now allowed to walk without crutches in the house so carrying things is much easier. Still lots I can't do.
List for the week starting Sunday January 4th 2015
Tasks for January
FINISH as many small embroidery projects as possible. Use up threads and declutter patterns when completed.
IVY Need to continue doing as much as possible (will try to get DS3 to help). Want it done before any birds decide to build a nest. Store offcuts in sacks if too much for the bin.
Weekly Tasks
SHORT WALK outside every day unless weather goes icy again.
MEALS based on fridge use-ups, other ingredients from freezer and cupboards (aiming for a no spend January). Eat downstairs (more exercise). Try out new recipes.
DECORATIONS down and away. Anything in excess of the two baskets to be culled.
TIDY kitchen. Reasonable now but could be better - need more space to bake.
NO SPEND STRATEGY Plan ahead. More detail on areas already outlined. Aim to keep plastic boxes and small dishes in use by batch cooking to fill freezer space, as it becomes available. Using up/ making/ re-using - explore alternatives to buying.
That's all -trying to keep it simple and flexible. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -

4) Start to plan and think about the next food grocery order which is mainly for UHT milk.
Hello, sorry for the delay. Last weeks tasks went as follows:-
1) Obtained a few reductions at the local shops. Some of these were Christmas/New Year type which I rarely purchase so a little annoyed getting those. Two others were more based on what I would regularly eat. Had enough now of the shops so will carry on using up everything before spending.
2) Checked my 2014 diary and have planned how to use the new one e.g. health goals, grocery figures and hobby related. Nevertheless, might change those ideas as they seem repetitive and too difficult.
3) End of year/New Year jobs were mainly done.
4) So far, jotted down a very few grocery ideas to ensure the £1 delivery needed in order to get the bulk UHT milk.
Thanks for the recent posts and hi to Lattelover. Thanks for the New Year wishes mothernerd. Hope your health continues to improve. Direction and simplicity has been on my mind too. Also, do not want to "just drift".0 -

Morning everyone and Happy new year to you
I have not posted or made a list for a few weeks as Christmas always makes me feel all over the place
But now we are all back to normal (if there is such a thing) :rotfl:I am climbing out of that big black hole and getting back on the straight and narrow
So I will think about my list and start for next week as so I put no pressure on myself.Have got a lot to do but its deciding where to start.
Think I will have another cup of tea and contemplate :rotfl:

Thanks mavvymoo. Happy New Year to you also.
I've got my list(s) but haven't posted them as yet. The New Year has seemed to "cause" me indecision as the way forward generally and what to do about any challenges this year. Anyway, will let you know at some point.0 -
Hi, decided to continue. I have been working upon the following list since last Sunday:-
1) Continue watching tv or listening to radio programmes whilst doing sitting down jobs.
2) Sort out bits of old diary and keep the outer covers to make simplistic bases to protect surfaces from hot drinks.
3) Prescription to sort out.
4) Hobbies/challenges file to update.
5) Check current household cleaners and DIY items for multipurposes. Use if required.
6) Food related -
reminders of how long things have been stored in the fridge.
noted menu ideas.
motivational phrase to eat/think more "healthily".
UHT milk order to be made.
maybe some reduced Xmas/New Year foods locally still.
check for January sales on normally purchased "health" products.
So hoping to have more direction again and will keep
considering/applying simplicity. Hope everybody is doing okay.0
