Didn't get it all done so some are still on the list for this week, with other things added.

* Ironing (started today but it seems never ending) - Did the back log now just have to keep on top of it!
* Write and post Christmas Cards - hmmm
* Food Inventory - I need to know what I've got before going shopping - Partly done, need to check the freezers
* Order OH Christmas Pressie - Done and came today
* Re-arrange appointment to give blood - Done
* Carry on sorting the tip that is the spare room - Didn't venture in there
So this week list is:
* Write and post Christmas Cards
* Start on Work Book for part time job
* Fill in forms for new full time job (fingers crossed!)
* Wrap Christmas Gifts
* Clean things from lounge ready for plasterer next Monday (and find a place to put everything

Hello Mav,
many thanks for the welcome. Looking at your list has just reminded me that I also need to get my cards written and sent off and get floors washed.

I have started extra charity shop bags but nothing is leaving the house, including the stuff for the local charity. Found a different phone number so may try that but suspect they may be rushed off their feet - they run some of the local foodbanks and if the DSS is its usual efficient self, !!!!-ups will have left many people without any money.
DS3 has left for gf's house (meeting with friends first) this morning and atm I don't care how long he stays there - they already have her younger sister's boyfriend living with them. I've taken in enough waifs and strays over the years, it's someone else's turn.
Had problems getting him to go to the SM with me. I tried twice to do on-line shops and they failed at the checkout. Spent several hours on the phone going through security questions and updating my details (they had actually blocked one of the cards) plus all next year's annual appointments are coming in - they send me a letter asking me to phone them and then send another letter confirming the appointment.
I have food now (heartily recommend going at 2am) so now in holiday mood. Planning big salad meals with small portions of treats, doing what I can and trying not to stress about things I can't do (yesterday I seemed to be knocking things on the floor faster than I could pick them up - grabber stick is great but cutlery is difficult).
Really want to get this Christmas stocking finished, the Christmas ornaments were handed over last week and were well received (a mother and her two daughters, depicted as Russian dolls, done in colours to match their decorations). Cut the lining and backing fabric last night, just need to get it done. Mum's cushions can wait until I am less stressed.
Opted to sleep last night then spent hours listening to the howling gale making the house rattle and creak (waiting for the chimney to come through the ceiling). So very tired today.
Plodding on with washing and tidying but resting as soon as I get tired - think the lurgy may be trying to return.
Keep going friends, but remember to make a little time for yourselves each day - I used to light candles, put on my favourite music and turn out the lights - stops you bobbing up every five minutes doing all the things you notice when you sit down.My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
This weeks list from Sunday until the end of Saturday:-
Things to sort out/out of the house -
a) Batteries for recycling.
b) Foreign coins collected this year to check for any worth (probably not any) so to charity shop.
c) Maybe go to a local "closing down" shoe shop, consider re-soling old boots or leave until next year.
d) Sort out wild birds area in the garden.
e) Graveyard visit still pending until manageable.
f) Post Xmas card.
Indoor tasks -
a) Decrease again sweeteners consumption.
b) E-bay bid?
c) Use present food "stocks" over Xmas/New Year and check recipes box for ideas (maybe homemade extra Xmas gifts?).
d) Continue sorting out foraged food (nuts and blackberries).
e) Check info about a health supplement.
f) Any paperwork possible to declutter.
g) Think of ways to cope with being indoors more, consider how to simplify life and start to make a list of things to do in 2015 especially significant events.
So that will keep me going for a while! Good luck everybody; always interesting to hear how you are going on.
Hello,
a/b - the batteries and coins were recycled.
c - checked the shoe shop sale and nothing my size nor suitable styles. A hardware shop nearby thinks resoling would not be financially worth it. Added to this, my present worn out soles/boots are 10 years+ old. Consequently, am wondering if it is better to get new ones as my feet may have changed shape plus they were obviously a good make (despite their current price, approx. £80 - £100).
d - just two strong pieces of cardboard used for birds feeding area and nearby soil refreshed.
e - graveyard visit not done
f - just the one Xmas card was sent.
a - the sweetener consumption was decreased further based on the week before (this time 14.5% better).
b - didn't bother with the e-bay bid as dearer than new price.
c - still using up present food "stock". Made caramel chocolate, chocolate cake and cheesecake for gifts from this "stock".
d - all the foraged nuts were shelled and stored whereas am using up blackberries slowly e.g. neat, in desserts and blackberry vinegar.
e - checked a health forum/sent an email about the health supplement.
f - the decluttering was much improved e.g. have shredded lots of old bills and receipts.
g - coping with being indoors and simplifying life was considered and ideas jotted down. 2015 events were read about on "wikipedia", my 2014 diary was checked and personal miscellaneous ideas/notes made.0 -
From today until the end of Saturday -
a) Graveyard visit if manageable.
b) Decrease saccharin sweeteners again.
c) Continue using up present food "stock" and sort out foraged apple cider vinegar recipes.
d) E-mail job.
e) Decluttering anything possible.
f) Incorporate more uplifting things into the day.
Good luck with your list!0 -
This seems like the ideal thread to help me get organised for 2015. Have just subscribed and will be back when I have time to set some goals and plan.
Looks like others have had the same idea.
See you all soon.0
